All of us lost our lives Vaughan. We all had things we wanted to do before we got taken. You having a somewhat successful music careerer doesn't mean you had more or less to lose.
And I don't mind the serving my country. In fact, this is probably a step up for me in the world, assuming I survive to the end. But no one asked me if I wanted to join. It wasn't a choice, it was decided for me.
Not just that either. I've been almost drowned in my first 10 minutes of meeting my mentor. In a fucking toilet. While I was bleeding all over the place from where MY SHOULDER WAS CARVED INTO!
It's not the fighting to protect Aedolis that I mind. Because that part is fine. It's the rest of it that I don't like.

I know! It's awful. And they're all so......standard issues. The fit is awful.
