Physical Description
Project Spectre took his mind or spirit from his body, in the hopes of creating an undetectable spy, as such he no longer possesses a physical appearence. The project however failed and all spectre's had an expiration date, the few who survived long enough underwent Project Phylectary where the spectres where transplanted into another vessel.
The vessel was that of a transforming robot, its outer layer or shell could be rearranged into different forms.

It works like a pinecone, in its normal state it fit in the palm of your hand but if you take every woody seed scale (or plate scale in Jacks case) and place them next to eachother they no longer fit in the palm of your hand.
Personality
Countrary to what might be believed, he is not just a robot or artificial intellect, his mind comes from a human origin and as such experiences all the emotions, toughts, wants and desires that a human might experience. For instant, he seek companionship, to father children of his own and to create a family with his blood. Of course, in his current state such things is impossible, which makes him both sad and angry, furious even, but he acts calm and collected for Nesha's sake, his ward, the closest thing to a child of his own.

Shape Shifting
The shell of his vessel is composed of fish scale sized plating which could be repositioned into different forms.
Logical Adaptations
* A body built for speed is faster then a humanoid body, a body designed for flight can fly. A body with natural weapons like claws or fangs can use them as intended.
* This does however not grant magic innate in certain forms, an example could be that he could not breathe fire in a dragon form, nor would he have the dermal armor of real scales.
* Senses is unafected (can't be improved by rearranging his outer shell) by this as they are dependant on integrated systems.
Illusion and mind affecting Imunity
Due to not having an organic brain or the organic sensory systems, illusions and mind affecting effects have no effect on him.
Weaknesses
Water, erosion and rust is especially damaging.
Viruses, trojan horses and hackers could replicate the effects of illusion and mind affecting effects.
Relationships
History
He was born to the average cupple and was raised like so many others, it wasn't until he grew up and made horrible decicions that lead him to his current path. He was a prime subject for project spectre, a project to create, in essence, ghosts, invisible spies. But the project failed, well, at first it was a succsess, they did manage to seperate his spirit from his body but this created a short expiration date on him and other subjects. Those who didn't die where transplanted into mechanical wonders, they called it project phylectary which was a suspiciously quick solution. Next followed a crapload of test and training to master the new vessel.
Once settled into his new existence it was about to be fundamentally changed, once more. Nesha's mother, who was so much genemodified that she was falling apart, asked for help, not for her sake but for her Nesha's sake, in return she would remove what programming inhibiting his free will, so that he actually could hurt those that turned him into this thing and be free to leave. It was a close call, she was shot just as she finiched up, Nesha glided from her mothers one arm unto the floor. Jack positioned himself above her in a quadraped form, like an animal protecting their cubs, shaping excess shell plating like chains, as if his back was like that of a porcupine, extending each "chain" outward to kill anything not under him.
He would change into a humanoid to pick her up, learn how to care for a baby as a wanderer looking for a normal home for her to grow up in, but alas it was not to be, no normal household could handle her enhanced condition, imagine a fast child who is as strong as an adult..
They spent the years traveling, doing a bit of everything to pay for Nesha's food and other necessities. They wound up mercenaries, which in their mind was just that, doing random jobs for cash. Though they play both sides of the law, they know that some day they will either have to make a deal with the law to officially work for them or to join a crew.
