I love how arrogant Gaston is xD I wish that was me! Just strut around and be like, "I am amazing and everyone loves me!"

....actually....I totally do do that |:

I also felt that Gaston should have just raped Belle and settled things that way. None of this courtship nonsense.

Prideful boys are the best, actually. I always fall for them. It might end up causing me problems later.

I dunno, rape + kid's movie = really bad lawsuits. And if Disney had been sued and gone bankrupt, we never would have had Pixar, and that would have been a horrible turn of fate.

I always wanted the Beast to stay a beast and for them to stay together anyway and have lovely little hairy children together. It would have been great. And while we're discussing awful transformations, love Cogsworth turns from awesome into this little fat man with an ugly mustache. It kills me every time. (really, it does.)

I'm sure we could start a second Beauty and the Beast conversation, or, if you prefer, a different beloved animated movie?

I love the books more than the movie, though. Even if they were written by a mathematician.
Although I love the animation of the Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar. I feel like the purple has become really, really iconic, and the fading grin is awesome.

And I just love the Caterpiller...

You know, I feel in love with Alice because of the cartoon. And the live action. So good!

I'm worried about the new movie. Sometimes Tim Burton tries to hard to be creepy. Like with Sweeny Todd and Willy Wonka. I was disappointed by both of those movies. But I have my fingers crossed

I loved Sweeney Todd, but that musical is unbelievable and I am really sentimentally attached to it. And Helena Bonham Carter was awesome as Mrs. Lovett and Alan Rickman acted the judge to a whole new level of creepy. (Actually, the only bad performance was Mr. Depp's, who was terrible.)

I think the promos for the movie look really, really lovely. The idea of Alan Rickman as the caterpillar rocks my world as well. I am still really, really concerned about the movie. Firstly, I'm sick of Depp, Carter, Burton collaborations.

And secondly, and this is a really big hang up of mine that no one else has, I HATE when people mix the Queen of Hearts and the Red Queen into one character, as in the books they are dramatically different, in really important ways, and mixing them is really pretty much a misinterpretation of the text. Annnyway, HBC is supposed to be playing the Red Queen, but she is most absolutely dressed up as the Queen of Hearts, and so I know, once again, the characters have been compiled, and it annoys me.

I hope it's pretty, though. I like pretty movies, and the promos are beautiful.
(But I do not like Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, either...)

I loathe it when they mix those two characters. It's not just you. I loved Sweeney Todd...lots and lots but yes I'm scared it will fall flat in his hands. I am sort of tired of seeing all of them together too. Let's try something new once in awhile!

I'm worried too, but then I was really worried about Sweeney Todd, and that worked for me, so perhaps I need to stop being such a disbeliever.

Sometimes I try to be positive only because it is opposite to my natural state.
