Maybe just a little lonely. ((open!))

A huff, a puff and the damn bolt still wouldn't budge off the dame thing. Dietek frowned at it, the goggles firmly planted on his face to keep any nasty gritty crap out of them. His brown hair in it's sloppy ponytail dug into the back of his head and it made him irritated. It was an old looking vehicle of some sort, a hobby of Dieteks when he didn't have anything of great importance to repair for some person or another. While he enjoyed fixing things for other people, sometimes he just wanted to work on something he wanted to.

Sighing and glaring up at the stupid scrap of metal, he left the wrench attached to the bolt and shimmied from under the car, his shirt riding up to show off his tanned toned stomach. Dietek didn't really care about that so much, big deal, it was a stomach. Sprawled out on the dirty oil stained ground of his workshop, shared of course, it wasn't his it was the person he worked for. Of course. But this section was his. Sitting up like a dead thing, arms loosely held back and his head flopping forward.

Standing up Dietek covering a yawn with the back of his hand and looked for the nearest source of light, a skylight not too far away. Judging from the red colour it seeped into the underground city, it was twilight. Die loved that word, Twilight. He decided that if he ever had children, he'd totally name his daughter Twilight. Of course, having kids was very unlikely. Poor Dietek, who'd want to be with an obvious mutant? Dietek pushed the goggles up a little past his hairline pushing the bangs up giving him a delightfully deshelved look.

Dietek looked human to be sure. Normal brown hair, always up in sloppy ponytail, a trim toned body, tanned from when he sneaks out onto the surface and looks for abandoned ship parts. The only part of him that screamed that he wasn't a normal human was glowing green eyes. A soft glow, only in sunlight, and then at night, they reflected light like a cats. Of course, this left the normal human girls afraid of him, and there was no way Dietek was about to pay a whore.

"I'm going on a break." Die said waving his hand dismissively and leaving the small building type thing, It was one of few. Repair shops for something or another. Not a very busy one. Dieteki heard the grunt that meant that it was okay for him to leave and he quickly loped away, his long legs carrying him closer to the top so he could... So he could what? Not get a breath of  fresh air, that was funny.

Never mind that, he'd go out at nighttime, when it was a little cooler. So, for the time behind Dieteki simply wandered around, his hands in his pockets, and his head down his eyes half closed, keeping most of the people from seeing his odd glowing eyes.

A clatter arose from an alleyway. The alleyway was one which, to someone who had wandered the lower city enough, signaled a hidden path to the surface, and the clatter one which could only be made by a young boy. The boy in question leaped out of the alleyway, running after a loose spring which had rolled away from him. He retrieved it, along with the few pieces of scrap metal he had gathered and so recently spilled, dodging unsavory looks from disgruntled citizens.

Gear was never the type of kid one would classify as "presentable"; rather, he just looked worse than normal today. His shorts were ripped and his boots scuffed, his hair flying every which way and his right knee skinned. His left knee was only unscathed by virtue of it being made of titanium. Had it been flesh, it would probably have been worse off than the right. He pressed a button on the side of his goggles which lit up the lenses, and unsnapped the right side of the gas mask he was wearing. One thing about children seemed constant: the more beat-up they looked, the happier they probably were.

He dove into another alleyway after something that caught his eye; a plastic bag with a small hole in the corner. He unceremoniously dumped his treasures into it and resumed sauntering (rather, limping) down the street. He dodged someone's electric scooter traveling the opposite direction and nearly fell over again. He looked down to see what the matter was, and didn't have to search long. One of the plates on his leg had come loose, leaving his pistons exposed. Damn it, he thought. My house is still on the other side of town! He hopped to the side of the street and leaned against a building as he tried to replace it. One of the bolts was missing. He looked around, and didn't see anything resembling it where he had walked. I must have lost it on the surface...

He straightened up and looked at the people around. No androids or obvious cyborgs. That meant he'd just have to ask someone at random. He closed his left eye and tried to zoom in on buildings, to see whether he was in a decent part of town or not. It seemed vaguely familiar, but... there! A small repair shop had its lights on a block or so away, and a grease-stained man was just leaving it. He looked like the right type to ask.

Gear waited a bit to see where the man was headed; luckily, he turned in Gear's direction. Clutching the plastic bag in his metal hand, he hopped into the street and over to the man. "Excuse me, sir," he yelled, trying to get the man's attention. He looked like he was thinking about something, or trying to disappear. Like most people here... "You wouldn't happen to have a spare bolt, would you? A three-quarter-inch phillips-head machine screw would be best, but whatever you have..."
