Make It Better [Rina!]

[Tally]

"My charm ain't pathetic," he said.  "But hey now, let's not be so quick to dismiss this drug plan.  How come you never did that for me before?"

[Anonymous]

"Because you haven't deserved it. I just like to tease you, dangle these sweet dreams in front of you. It's what gets me up in the morning really."

[Tally]

"Sadist.  You done yet?"  Done with the soda, Justin crinkled the can up and tossed it into a nearby trash can.

[Anonymous]

"That stuff is awful for you, you know that right?" Rook wrinkled his nose, giving the soda a disproving look. He hated the stuff, though he drank coffee like there was no tomorrow. He bandaged the last of the small wounds, "There. You should be good. Make sure you keep those clean."

He handed Justin a small tube, "Put that on the stab wound and the bullet wound, twice a day."

[Tally]

"Nooo, tell me about it some more."  He loved it when Rook lectured him.  Loved to nod along with everything he was saying with no intention of heading any of it.  It was one of the many things that made their relationship so special.

[Anonymous]

"Smartass. When your teeth rot out and your stomach..." Rook launched into a long, full and very dry lecture on the dangers of soda.

[Tally]

Justin dutifully nodded along and made affirmative mm-hm sounds when appropriate.  When the lecture was over he hadn't learned a thing and Rook had the pleasure of once again proving he was right and Justin was wrong.  Everybody happy.

"Riveting and informative, doc.  You should sell recordings of these speeches.  You'd make a fortune."

And Justin could use them to help him fall asleep at night.  Droning noise was good for that.

Rook clicked his tongue, "You never listen. You'll wish you had when you are falling apart and have to pay my prices to fix you back up."
