OOC:  This is the area for development of the WATERFALL class Battlecruiser Chronostrike.  Rather than push different additions and brainstorm developments through PM, this thread will be used for development.  Accepted ideas will be modified into the main post.

Violin is not the ship's Captain, and doesn't hold a leadership role even though he is the AI.  I am  simply the first of our group to join.

After things get off the ground...if they do, a separate thread will be made for our group's operations.

Ship Name - Chronostrike
Ship Hull Number - WF69
Manufacturer - SYMPHONIC INDUSTRIES Star Defense Division
Class - WATERFALL Class Battlecruiser
Age/Life Expectancy - 2.3/15 Years

Dimensions

Length: 170m
Width: 80m
Height: 20m

Bridge

The main command hub. It is from here the captain pilots the ship. It houses many main access terminals that are vital to the management of the ship.

Navigation - Monitors all movement of the ship. Also capable of tapping into systems designed to track individuals, such as GPS and Interstellar Radio Tracking. Contains a starmap and warp drive charts for all known quadrants, as well as some theorycraft around core stability in unknown territories.

Communication - A terminal fitted heavily for diversity and multitude in choices, the Alta is geared mainly towards universal standards. This often means "ancient technology". The investment in versatility and security came at a cost, sacrificing the largest portion of range.

Power Supply - Supervising the availability of power to all systems, this controller is the backbone of the entire ship. If the power fails, nothing else will work. But safety measures have been taken, and the power grid is extremely strong, with multiple backup routines and two limited emergency nets. This terminal also dictates power flow, and is capable of rerouting currents to overload specified components.

Combat Systems - The combat operation terminal is split in two; cannons and turrets. The primary station guides the energy and plasma weapons, while the secondary one controls the Tachyon turrets and the Frozen Rain anti-missile system. There is a separate terminal for operating the Mana Cannon.

Assessment - Sporting a full Bounty Hunter outfit, the Assessment station governs over all the scanners. The ship is fitted with a tactical scanner, able to perform passive probing of shields and weapon systems, mainly on other starships. It also has a biological long-range scanner that is able to sweep other ships and planet surfaces for signs of life. Filters include heat, DNA, micro-organisms, heartbeat and Electro-magnetic Signature Analysis.

Capabilities Snapshot

-Secure Short Range Communications
-Extended Voice and Data Network Suite
-Medium to Short ranged combat
-Volcano Defense suite
-"Bounty Hunter's Safety" Port Clearance
-Strike Base Outfitting Suite

Secure short wave Communications Suite

A series of E-EHF and beam communications interfaces for use with satellite communications, paired with cryptological devices to secure communications.

Extended Voice and Data Network Suite

Capable of connecting to most networks within the solar system and its usable repeaters/transponders.  Limited to shipboard use, degraded when extended to personal devices.

Medium to Short Ranged Combat Suite

The main weapon of the Chronostrike is it's Mana Cannon, a catalyst based cannon that uses energy projected from a magic user.  When no such capable operator is available, the Mana Cannon is a functional energy cannon.  While this weapon is a long range system, its performance is limited when magical energy is concentrated.

Two larger energy cannons are fitted at two sides of the ship most distant from the propulsion systems and energy cells, fitted with modular capsules to reduce explosion payload on destruction.  Two medium plasma cannons are located on the wings of the ship, with a small plasma cannon fitted underneath the fuselage with an offset of 10 degrees(Computer Corrected).

The Chronostrike sports a Revolution Tachyon System as its secondary weapon suite, a short range, guided burst system that can alter the range of ten independent tachyon turrets, 5 port and 5 starboard.  The turrets can be grouped in any order, controlled by multiple operator stations, controlled by one operator as an entire group, or controlled defensively by the defense suite.  The default setting is Port systems defensive, starboard systems free.

The missile payload is mostly defensive, with two empty module points for additional missile fitting.  The current online system is the SI-1700 FROZEN RAIN anti-missile pod launcher, used to counter missile volleys.  Eight short-to-mid range hybrid energy-light metal turrets are loaded at variable tracks across the hull, encased in housing departments underneath the outer hull.

Volcano Defense Suite

A sub-servant, sentient AI-capable system environment.  The Volcano Suite is a non-intrusive system that can either display a series of changeable defense points in defenses, or become what is known as an "extra sense" by sentient AI's.  Onboard the Chronostrike, the Volcano system can control energy shield intensity, area coverage, variable area concentration, and weaponry not currently engaged for defensive purposes.

The suite also has a plug-in allowing for use of non-allocated power, though the power that goes over Volcano's allotted size can be taken back by other ship systems.  Volcano cannot take from other system resources without physical intervention.

"Bounty Hunter's Safety" Port Clearance

A series of confirmation keys, passed under Seruna to protect bounty hunters under their jurisdiction.  The Chronostrike has access to three security protocols.

Direct Deposit - Automated payment to a secure account.  Managed by Iuturna Credit Union, main branch on Mars.

Seruna Port Authorization - A preprogrammed authorization profile.  This protocol shortens the clearance process, but still requires visual confirmation by Port Authority.

Override Black Key - Authorization to move without use of any personally identifiable information.  Limited to only certain ports, requiring prior knowledge and clearance by Space Station Cancer Port Authority.

Strike Base Outfitting Suite

The signature of the Chronostrike.  Striking Base is a posture for outfitting, deployment, repair and extraction of forces in a hostile environment.

Medical - A 10 Person capacity surgery room, trauma, and triage ready.  Access to an instructional server and medical database.  Liquid, sound and heat sterilization available.

Hangar Bay - Capable of holding a maximum of two fighter craft and four mecha.  One fighter bay can be converted for two mecha bays.  The ammunition area for the Hangar Bay is one deck below, connected by elevator.  Additional ammunition is secured in power magnetic crates next to their respective units.

Repair Bay - Commonly adjacent to the Hangar Bay, but separated by explosion-dampening panels.  Fitted with a dedicated storage room, and a repair suite with SYMPHONIC INDUSTRIES specific equipment.  The storage bay is cluttered with spare parts from various manufacturers.

Strike Center - The onboard staging area.  Commonly used by anyone not in a large-scale mecha or fighter.  A weapons payload for personal is kept separated from the communications area, albeit only by a large central display area.  This is the second most fortified room on the ship, the first being the bridge.
