Some introductions (open)
« on: May 08, 2009, 08:43:12 am »
Jorn was setting up his apartment for a small little get together with any pilots that wanted to come. After he was ready, he would post a invitation on the network Pilot commmunity blog, and hoped people would show. This was basically just to introduce himself to his fellow pilots and meet people. Besides he liked parties, whether he threw them himself or not. Right now he was putting some tables together to hold the food he had, and he had to bring in some chairs, tio accomadate people, and he had no idea how many people would fit. He just expected people to like free food.

And you didn't invite me to your party? A mettalic voice said in his head. That would be Munim, his red dragon, Mun for short. You're a fucking Dragon. How would you fit in here? Jorn asked. That's not the point. You didn't even bother to ask. Jorn sighed in his head. Just go....do something dragony Mun's laugh echoed in Jorn's head. Dragony, real mature. And his dragon retreated.

Jorn shook his head and went back to his preparations. He grabbed the food from the 'Fridge and set it out. He heated what needed to be heated. He had gotten just small finger food, nothing too complicated. He didn't want to look like had tried to hard. After that was done, he shot off a short message in the blog inviting the people. Then he sat down to wiat.

(OoC_ Don't mind if Nari joins? she doesn't know anyone yet either)

'Useless little angel', who the fuck does he think he is?! Nari thought furiously as she flew over the vast Citadel, she wasn't planning on sticking around for long, she was only going to be in this particular part of the city for a few more minutes, she was going to find somewhere to rest for the night, and maybe eat, she was starving after that job.

Nari sighed internally It's times like these i wonder why i even bothered to become a bounty huntress, these damn wings make it hard enough to move on land...

She took a sharp right turn and dove under a billboard that seemed to pop out of nowhere, she was getting tired.
She glanced below her at the small apartment buildings, her emerald eyes searching for anything out of the normal.
Even if she was a bounty hunter, she still had the old angelic nerve to break street trouble when she encountered it, something that hadn't worn off since her awakening.

Nari narrowed her eyes, trying to see though the mass of billowing brown hair that covered her vision.

SLAM

Nari had barreled head first into an apartment's window. And she didn't fly slow. She flapped her wings frantically, trying to keep herself airborne, muffling curses, she raised a hand to her forehead, sure enough it was bleeding.
Her vision blurred and spun, she raised her free hand to grab the window frame, struggling to stay in the air, her hand connected with the wall and she gripped tightly. She yanked herself up with that same hand, the other being to slippery with blood to do much.

Inside the apartment she had just flew into, was a man, sitting down, he had food set out, like he was expecting visitors.

Nari would have flown off by now, hell, she tried to, but to no avail. She could only grip that window frame and wait for her head to clear.

Free Food?
That he didn't have to go to the cafeteria for?

Sign him up!

Jermi pulled back from his computer after setting it to shutdown. He stood up pushing the chair back in with a flourish. He stretched his arms putting them in the air with a yawn. He cracked his knuckles then put his hands back down. He checked himself in the mirror on the door to this room and tilted his head. At the moment he was just in his boxers.

So you aren't hooking in today then? Also, it just might be prudent to change before you go. Vion purred in his mind, she had a pleasing voice but it always had that sort of purr to it, that growl that suggested what she really was. Sometimes Jermi wished her voice belonged to something more him sized.

Oh you think the ladies won't like my loooovin boxers? He was referring to the fact they were black with red hearts all over them. She chuckled into his mind but it had a sort of dark turn to it.

If there's even any ladies to worry about. That made a frown come over his face. It would be kind of odd to be hanging out with one other guy he didn't know. Well, if that happened he could say he just needed to go jack in after a little while if no one else looked like they would show. Sometimes the Pilots didn't socialize...unless there was pie. Jermi was sad he missed that one.

Jermi pulled on his black hoodie for a second adjusting it then just put his hands in his pants pocket. The hoodie was a zip up one that was unzipped to show a black shirt with a crazy orange design like someone had spray painted it on there. A pair of somewhat worn pants and bright orange shoes finished his outfit. He was looking at the walls and trying to remember where he was supposed to be going. He stopped dead finding himself completely lost.

Vion I know you're watching this and just loving it.

Who me?

Yes you! Where am I going here?
He rubbed his forehead wishing he could remember things like directions.

Oh what would you do without me Tortes?

Crash and burn, babe.
Vion gave him the directions and he was back on track from where he was and soon found himself in front of Jorn's door. He grinned and rapped on the door a few times. Suddenly he though that maybe he should have brought some sort of food. Was it one of those kinds of things? Or drinks maybe, was it too early for drinks?

Seiteki felt an eyebrow twitch as her wing pumps slowly lowered her down from the roof, it took a good two minutes to keep her from free falling into the ground. Of course, Seiteki was farther back, her gray wings pumping at the wind. Of course she’d be sent to take care of the disturbance. Some weird flappy thing hanging out by the citadel. Then she spotted it.

Ah, not a big weird flappy thing at all. A humanoid with wings. Seiteki kept her arms out and one knee bent. Whiro, where am I? Seiteki kept her distance as she watched the winged thing... Fly into a window. The winged woman stared, her face expressionless and she just stared. This was what what kicked Seiteki out of her apartment? A flying moron? Seiteki rolled her eyes and gave a heavy mental shove to her dragon.

You’re outside Jornal Leal apartment, new Pilot, he’s holding a little party.

Seitekis face remained blank as she rolled her eyes and flew closer to the dazed feathered thing. Right by the window, she could see the pilot inside. Yup, he was new. Damn Pilots and their stupid parties. Seiteki gave a mental flick towards the winged woman, a taste for the simple information. “Nari, huh?” Seiteki smiled as she gently placed a hand on the womans shoulder, her brain fiddling with the latches to the window inside Jornals appartment before slamming it shut.

When it was open, Seiteki took the womans shoulders and gave her a heavy push, sliding in after her. “Jorn, keep your eye on this one, she’s in trouble.” Seiteki didn’t move, but she folded her own wings and kept her arms crossed. Shaking her head, amazed. “ You’re obviously not from around here. This is the citadel. Dragons and pilots live here, Little Girl.”

Couldn’t believe it.

Who didn’t know what the citadel was?

Well, besides this person.

“Jorn, don’t worry about letting people in here, your little party-thing can continue once we get Miss. Nari out of here. Pilots Alaric and Keziah are going to help me with her.” Seiteki moved a hand to lick the tips of her fingers before she let a very visible crackle of electricity dance over the tips. “Don’t do anything funny, we’re trained psychic killers and if you put up a fuss you’ll die.” Seiteki smiled at Nari and shifted her weight. Now, to wait for the back up.

This wasn't really his favorite thing. Alaric sighed, moving quickly through the hallways. He had been making a decent headway on his work when he suddenly got informed there was a strange flying creature flying over the Citadel. Who did that? Were they stupid?

Take a left here. Pilot Tora has located her and shoved her into Pilot Lael's room. And Pilot Fabel shall be along to help you.

Who is that?

Right here, then a left up ahead. And he is a new Pilot. He seems about as useful as you are. Maybe less. You can at least lift heavy things.

Thank you Kazef. Always so positive and lovely to listen too.

That door there is the room. And don't try and be cute. It doesn't work for you and it comes off awkward.

Alaric rolled all three of his eyes as he came to a stop. Leave it to Kazef to make things more fun. Not bothering to knock, Alaric pressed the button on the door, opening it. Kazef had made sure it would be unlocked for him, official business and all. Sei was already inside, threatening the form on the ground.

Humanoid with wings. Alaric wasn't totally sure on the gender, he didn't have the time to work that out at the moment. Wasn't important right now. Sei seemed to have it under control, so Alaric just moved closer, ready to use the fact that he was big and one of the physically strongest Pilots to escort her out. He would wait for Keziah to arrive before he tried to do to much. If it had thought it could get away with entering the Citadel they were either stupid or powerful.

When Jorn invited people, he didn't expect his apartment to fill up so fast. A bunch of things happened in quick succession. As he was finishing up, he heard a large crack at his window. He jumped, and looked out. There was some sort of human female out there, but she had wings. He really didn't have time to see any other detail on the girl, because a knock came on his door. Shit he thought, what am I going to do? Jorn decided to let in the person at his door, and maybe get some help for this bird woman.

He opened up his door, and there was a pilot standing out there. "Hey, I need some help." He stood aside to let the guy in, and proceeded to tell him about the girl. "Some winged girl just flew into my window, do you know...." and he trailed off, because as soon as he turned into the main room, he saw another winged person, pushing in the first girl. He was going to say something, then stopped when he noticed it was another pilot.

“Jorn, keep your eye on this one, she’s in trouble.”

"Yes, Pilot Tora." Jorn replied, trying to figure out what to do. Pilot Tora then said they would take her out of there, but when the girl had first smacked into the window, she had tried to take off again but couldn't. They couldn't move her, she was injured. "Don't worry about using my apartment.I really think that before you take her anywhere, you should take a look at her, I think she is injured. I mean look she is bleeding" He told the pilot how she tried to take off but couldn't.

The pilot also had said someone else would be coming. Jorn figured this place would get crowded pretty fast, so he moved the table with the food to the kitchen. When he came out, there was another person in his apartment. "You must be Pilot Alaric." Jorn said. Pilot Alaric was an imposing character, he looked very strong and muscular. "You guy's seem to be going out of the way for somebody who flew into a window. I mean, and no offense" At this he looked at the girl that was the center of this. "but right at this moment, I doubt she could do anything, and she must not be that smart, running straight into a window." At this Jorn fell silent and just watched the rest of the situation unfold.

Nari shook off the other woman's arm with a grunt.
I'm inside the citadel now... great... I'm done for..

"I'm fine!" she snapped, she tried to stand, but she stumbled back, and fell into the wall behind her, she pressed her back against it for support.
I have to get out of here... NOW

She cast a stormy look at the woman who had shoved her in, of corse she knew what the citadel was! She hadn't anticipated that this would happen, the only reason she took this shortcut was to get home quicker, the girl felt like she was about to pass out from hunger, exhaustion and now brain damage.
All the same, the woman intimidated Nari a little.
Don't try anything funny? Teh, as if i could... especially not now...

Nari wiped her bruised forehead with a hand anxiously, feeling a slight pang of pain as she did, she was still bleeding.
I knew i shouldn't have taken that detour, look were i wound up! Nari thought, mentally slapping herself.

She saw shapes moving around her, she wanted to get out. Now she was ruining a party too!
Briefly she wondered exactly what pilots did at these parties, had she not been so anxious and nervous, she would have tried to stick around.

Her vision was beginning to clear, she glanced about her, she was inside one of the apartments, another winged female beside her.
She paused to stare for a moment, then turned her gaze to the first poilot she had seen upon slamming into the window,
She met his deep blue gaze squarely, her emerald eyes blazing with sincerity "I'm... sorry"
Well... that was a dumb thing to say
Nari mentally slapped herself again, she couldn't help it, even though she was tired, hungry, scared and all together pissed off, she still managed to be polite. These pilots all probably thought her mentally unstable, and it twinged a bit.

She wasn't planning on staying in Haviah much longer, that was for sure.

She broke her intense stare into the first pilots eyes, wiping a drop of blood that had dripped down her forehead and into her eyes, before she leapt for the window again.
Nari knew that when she stared into peoples eyes, they felt her 'looking into their souls' she laughed mentally at the idea though, it was a nice prospect, but not entirely true. Yet she still used it to her advantage.

Nari placed her trembling hands on the windowsill She just wanted to get out. she paused, not entirely trusting her concussion. Albeit, she prepared to fly again, unfurling her great wings, even though her head was spinning, she just needed to fly as far out of the Citadel as possible, even if it meant crash-landing somewhere on the lower levels.

Jermi walked in following Jorn's odd greeting. His eyes widened when he found Seiteki and...some other winged girl on the ground. His face broke into a slight smile. He hid it behind his hand, who couldn't grin and two winged girls all tangled up? Apparently Jorn. He regained his composure and watched Seiteki for a moment. He liked her blue hair, made him feel a little bit less odd. But this wasn't the time for that, apparently it was the time for flying invaders.

"So this...girl, if she is that, flew in through a window?" He arched a brow and tilted his head at the brunette girl on the floor. Oh she had made quite the mistake. How do you accidentally land in the Citadel? Wouldn't that be something you try to avoid in your...flying? He sighed, at least there was something exciting going on. He walked over towards the pair when the girl hopped up and towards the window.

He put a hand on her wrist somewhat tightly and grabbed the edge of the window.

"You know you should be nicer to Pilots, we're kind of determining your fate." He looked back to see Alaric, oh good someone bigger than him. "Hey Ally, you could help me here." He gave a wide grin. "I have a feeling she might take off with me still attached."

Seiteki stared at Jorn for a moment.

He wasn’t serious.

“Obviously you haven’t been here long, and passed by the skin of your teeth.” She snapped, before glaring at the girl. This ones thoughts were so loud, even if Seiteki didn’t have the best telepathy, she could still hear her. Electric blue eyes leered at Jermi for a moment before she stuck her tongue out at him. “ She was flying around the citadel. The dragons sensed magic on her, don’t know what kind and then she –“ Seiteki moved back when the girl broke away and unfurled her wings.

Inside.

In front of a closed window.

“Make one more move girly and I’ll break your wings. I have a pair of my own, I know how to break them so you won’t be able to fly again. I suggest you be a good girl and come with us.”

Wouldn’t be staying in Haviah? Hmm. “ Nari is not from around here.” Seiteki closed her eyes briefly before wrapping a telekinetic tendril around the wings, tightening them. The Pilot looked over at Jorn, her eyes narrow. “ And you’ll learn that anyone around the citadel not a Pilot or a Dragon is bad news, as powerful as we both are, explosions and resistance groups exist, even around us. Don’t underestimate anyone.”

Seiteki pulled on the wings taking a step back. “Alaric, I’ll need you help if she passes out, she’s fine for now, head wounds bleed a lot. Christ, flying into a damn window.” Seiteki rolled her eyes before she shook her hair, her wavy black-blue hair falling into her face, her own gray wings curled up tightly behind her.  Seiteki stared at the back of Nari's head. "You're young, aren't you." It was a bland statement, and she didn't really want an answer.
