As soon as Latona questioned him, as soon as she refused, he struck out. Without hesitation the strands of his extended consciousness found her fledgling mind and dug into it like maggots attacking a carcass. Her vision went first, switching off like a light and plunging her into total darkness, then her motor functions. He took hold of her body with the ease that a puppeteer picked up a marionette, forcing her to stand and move to the side of her desk.

Allowing her to remain in control of her mouth and nothing else, Marshal walked Latona up to the front of the room, moving to the side to allow her to turn and stand in front of the teachers’ desk. With a series of deft telekinetic slices Marshal cut Latona’s clothing right off her, the shreds falling to the ground like leaves in autumn. She stood there, naked, legs spread, arms out and wings painfully stretching to the sides despite their numerous breaks.

In a clear voice he spoke to her, “Latona. You will be given your sight back when I feel you have learned the lesson here.” Don’t disobey a pilot, that seemed pretty clear at this point. He took his hold on her optic connection and rather than holding it, he severed the connection, leaving a tiny gap which he could correct later. It would leave her utterly blinded, which had the added bonus of encouraging her to learn to ‘see’ psychically.

Releasing the hold on Latona’s body, he pointed towards the door. “Everybody outside now please,” he said in an eerily calm voice, “Into the hall, we’re going for a little walk.” Undoubtedly one of them would help Latona. She’d be needing help for a while, no doubt. As an afterthought he send a little mental message privately to Alei.

As far as I’m concerned she’s fair game, touch her however you want, I won’t stop you.

[OOC Suckage]

     “What the…? What happened?”

She couldn’t see anything. Had the lights gone out? No-one else seemed to have noticed though…so…that could only mean one thing…The pilot was stopping her vision! Just because she wouldn’t strip!

Then she suddenly felt her body moving on its own, he must be controlling her. What a coward, hiding behind his psychic powers, again.

     “Let me go!”

She tried to struggle out of his control but his powers were too strong for her. That however didn’t mean she wasn’t going to try. If she had control of her body she’d probably be punching him right now. But he’d probably use his stupid powers to stop her. Cheat.

The pilot added insult to injury then by cutting her clothes right off her….Okay so he had been serious about her stripping…Bastard…At least she couldn’t see herself but the thought wasn’t very comforting.

As her clothes fell she realised he was holding her in a rather painful position. Her wings were stretched out to the sides and she could feel the broken bones starting to the pierce the skin. She gritted her teeth to stop herself from screaming, she would not give him the satisfaction. He probably only let her have control of her mouth so she could still scream. Or possibly dig herself into an even deeper hole than she was in already.

“Latona. You will be given your sight back when I feel you have learned the lesson here.”

What, she had to take all of his crap? Yeah, like that was going to happen. If she felt it was necessary to obey him because it made sense or directly prevented her from going to TRIM then fine, she’d do what he said. Him punishing her like his was actually made her feel like not obeying him all the more.

Being without sight could be inconvenient though…Unless she learned to do that weird trick where you ‘saw’ with your psychic powers…But how long would that take? If she didn’t have her sight back by the end of the grace period she would probably fail.

Finally Marshal released the hold on her body allowing her to place her wings in a less painful position. With being naked she would have liked to use them to cover herself but that would probably hurt, a lot. And now she had to walk around the corridors nude and blind. That would be tricky. Did Marshal really expect her to pass at all if she couldn’t see? But he probably didn’t care either way.

////////

Alei had to suppress a smirk when the pilot blinded Latona before marching her to the front and cutting all her clothes off. She was an idiot, not even realising that if a pilot gave you an order you had sure as hell better do it or face the consequences.

He had to say he enjoyed the view though. Would have been better if her wings hadn’t been broken and ruffled…and of course if she wasn’t such a bitch. At least the other girl seemed to get the point.

When Marshal said they were going for a walk Alei rose and started heading to the door just as he got the pilot’s telepathic message. He probably wouldn’t touch her, not with his hands anyway. Maybe he’d poke her breasts with telekinesis or pull on her wings a little. She certainly deserved it.

Satori watched with a small amount of fear in her eyes, though it was pretty well hidden. Latona looked almost like she was possessed, walking not able to control it on her own, but still in there. Satori knew she probably would have wet herself if their roles had been reversed.

Satori slowly became less afraid as she watched Marshal move Latona around. So much power, and he barely looked like he was using it. That was amazing. She couldn't believe the power of a Pilot, he was probably even more powerful, being one who was chosen to teach the students. She kept her eyes on him the whole time not even really noticing Laton's peep show. He was going to make her walk around the hall? That was just cold, but...somewhat amusing for everyone else. She admired that sort of dedication, to not care what your students thought of you, but just to make sure they learned something.

Rising out of her seat she moved towards the front of the room. She kept her eyes on Marshal the whole time she walked forward. Her hand reached out for Latona's carefully slowly, so not to spook the girl, she probably still would. She tried to send soothing vibes through their physical contact but she knew it wouldn't help her too much. Her eyes were still on Marshal's watching to see if this was alright, if he would punish for it or not.

"I got you Latona." Satori's voice held regret, and shame for Latona, but it was also strong, like they had to get through this, and whether or not she liked Latona she would help her. She finally pulled her eyes away from Marshal and started to move Latona towards the door.

Sharp eyes watched as Alei as he walked towards the door without giving thought to helping Latona. That was expected, he certainly didn’t seem to like the girl, for whatever inane reasons. Candidates little power struggles bored him to no end.

His unblinking stare fixed on Satori Clare as she carefully made her way to the front, neither approval nor condemnation showing on his face. Only when her eyes left him did he look away and head for the door, giving them a moment to go out before him. Out in the hall he motioned for them to follow him, not looking behind to see if they were following. He trusted that by now they would understand not to fall behind.

A few people passed them as they walked, some of the younger soldiers giving Latona looks and occasionally making loud comments, but most simply stepped out of his way without looking at them. You didn’t mess with pilots, and candidates might be pilots someday and remember you.

He led them down a few corridors, twisting though the brightly lit maze that was the ATC until they came out into the sunlight in a small courtyard. He stopped, turning to face them with a large tree behind him, which took up the centre of the courtyard. The point of the walk was simply to make them question the point of the walk.

“Your room assignments,” he barked, voice ringing out in the courtyard, “Are available at any terminal. I have assigned you all a list of reading materials that will be relevant to your study, which you will find in your email inboxes. While these are not mandatory, I suggest you read them if you value your time here.” He paused, letting that sink in, and letting the fact that Latona would need help with that sink in. “Alei, you are assigned to assisting Latona in this matter. And Ms. Clare, I will be your pilot mentor, so some additional readings are on that list, which I have marked. These are required reading.”

It wasn’t easy reading either, all anatomy books and such. “Now, if there are no more questions, you are dismissed.”

[OOC Suckage and fail]

Latona flinched slightly when suddenly felt someone take her hand. She was about to punch whoever it was in case it was Alei or Marshal but then Satori spoke. She wasn’t entirely sure why she was spooked by this; probably it was the fact that she was now blind! Even though Satori seemed to be helping her, Latona still got the feeling that Satori didn’t have much sympathy for her….Maybe she had brought this on herself a little. But she was not going to change who she was just to become a yes-man to the military.

Satori started moving her, she assumed towards the door and into the hall. Maybe she’d be lucky and they wouldn’t come across too many people. This was a big complex though and her luck so far hadn’t been great.

It was eerie walking along in total darkness; relying on someone else to help her, one of the things she hated the most. She depended on herself and hated having to be helped. At this point this really depised Marshal and wanted him to burn in whatever fiery underworld existed along with the people she could hear in the corridor making comments about her nakedness. It was a wonder they weren’t taunting her, bastards.

She would have gone and smashed her fist right into their face if she could see them. Flailing around blindly trying to hit them would just look silly and amuse them even more.

Eventually after being led down many twists and turns by Satori, they eventually they headed outside. At least Latona assumed it was outside, it sounded like it and she could feel sunlight on her skin. Touch and hearing were going to become vastly more useful…

Normally she could have easily ignored Marshal and she really wanted to. But since she had to rely more on her hearing she couldn’t help but hear what he said. And as much as she hated it, annoying him was a very bad idea.

Reading sounded difficult especially in her current state unless they had talking books. But it seemed Marshal had other ideas.

“What!” she exclaimed, practically in unison with Alei when told the purple haired boy would have to help her.

From what she knew about Alei she wouldn’t put it past him to deliberately tell her wrong things just to make her fail. Her life could not get any worse…Well at least Marshal wasn’t her mentor. And maybe she could annoy Alei no end, if he was being forced to do and it and would probably be an ass about it, she’d be an ass back.

Despite his outburst as well at Marshal’s decision he simply said, “No, sir,” and Latona felt his footsteps heading away.

Leaving for her would be trickier….Maybe Satori would help her. The thought of being helped made her cringe but wandering blindly around the corridors was worse.

((Yay! You Posted! ^.^))

As they walked through the hallways Satori tried to keep her eyes on Marshal's legs. She didn't want to look at Latona or any of the people walking the hallways. She wished all of them could experience it at least once see how it feels. She was sure the people in Pilot's uniforms most likely had, they didn't seem to be the one's laughing though. She heard a guy in a soldier's uniform make a remark about her tail and Latona. She wanted to show him what the tail was really good for but figured since it was her first day that might be a bad idea. She huffed to herself regretting not being able to.

It must have been a normal occurrence for people to get humiliated here though. No one seemed very put out as you would expect. Of course this wasn't really a normal place at all was it? It really wasn't. When they went out into the courtyard she closed her eyes for a minute feeling the warmth of sun on her skin. Even if it was somewhat artificial there was just something about being outside.

She wondered who her roommate would be. She glanced at Latona's face. The poor girl looked pissed, scared, and so many things at once. She really hoped Latona wasn't her roommate. Satori didn't see her as someone who would share a room well at all. She could be wrong and wouldn't mind being corrected, but it was just a feeling.  Maybe on an off-chance she would be blessed with a single...probably not.

Satori tilted her head at Marshal when he said they needed to go back inside for their room and reading assignments. What had been the point of even walking out here....oh well, better to get use to weird things. She tried to suppress a smile when the Pilot told Alei he was going to have to help Latona. Alei didn't think it was so funny and stalked off. Satori rolled her eyes. So dramatic, especially for a boy. She hoped he would come to his sense because Satori really did not want to be the one to have to sit and read assignments and books to Latona, or course maybe he was just going to keep her blind till she reached her room or something. One could hope. Latona did not seem like she would be a bottle of sunshine trying to work through being suddenly blind...though really who would? Maybe the Pilot would punish Alei, that would be sort of interesting to see.

Then Satori's jaw nearly dropped. He was going to be her mentor? She wondered how much time she would be spending naked like Latona was....could be worse though, could be loosing limbs. Seriously? Him as her mentor? He seemed interesting enough, he was a very strong psychic as much as she could judge anyway. He seemed like a good teacher, if not unconventional but they weren't learning something that was very conventional.
