__________________IN-DEPTH STUFFPHYSICALTurquoise is a wee stocky thing. All turquoise-ie scales and tanned skin. An out of season Kulshedra, he's small and has a few 'abnormalities' uncommon to his kind. For one, his tail is stubbed and while it can bend it's thick and mostly unmoving, at most if it were to wag his butt and hips would move with it. A slight face abnormality is his face, leaving him with a cat-like smile, the middle of his lips up turned and his canine's pressing against his lower lips unless he's thinking about it. Turq, however, has plush lips, large golden eyes and thick eyelashes.
His hair grows in dark, almost black, and fades to the turquoise of his scales, which are sparingly smattered along his shoulders, collarbone and spine to his little tail. The scales meet along his chest around his ribcage and finally, his legs are completely covered from the thigh down. His legs are digitigrade and end in little feet.
PERSONALITYTurq is shy. Sort of. He isn't out going and is content to be alone. A lack of opportunity to make friends growing up besides the required teamwork phase in candidacy has coloured his take on them as an adult. They were, for the most part, not required. Turq isn't a workaholic but he does value his job over much of anything else. It's difficult for him to 'let go' of anything and can hold a grudge a mile wide if he deems it worthy. He has a volatile temper, he can be snarky and should the situation call for it, mouthy. These traits also lead to his 'act first, think second' problem, which one day, will get him into a lot of trouble.
ABILITIESTurq is a pyrokinetic. He has enough control over fire to not burn himself and while he can't create fire out of nothing, he can super heat the air and if given fuel can control the ensuing flame for quite a while. He's not a prodigy with it, but he is quite talented.
RELATIONSHIPS His parents - Doesn't talk to them, doesn't see them. Hasn't tried to see them or meet them since he became a candidate.
Faelynn - A soft gentle girl with a metal face and cybernetic forearms. Her natural scales are a peachy colour and her wings are segmented. A long whip like tail and a fondness of bows, Faelynn chose Turq before he was small, pretty and he stuck his tongue out at her when she nudged his tail.
HISTORYTurq was born to a Kulshedra couple as an out of season child. Small and weak, he was kept in the hospital for a few months before he was allowed to go home with his parents. His mother blames her lack of feeling maternal on the fact that she couldn't take him home for a while - Turq is sure she's just a bitch - she is now, why wouldn't she have been one back then? As it is, being out of season he was always small and there was always some sense of animosity. He could feel it from his parents to him, his parents to each other. Nothing was ever calm and collected. There was always
something.
It wasn't an overly loving home and Turq didn't have the sense of dread a few other candidates had when he was 13 and screened. Traces of psychic ability. Off to candidacy he went. Turq did decently, he didn't make waves, he didn't make himself noticeable. He did his best to pass his classes and master his craft, except for a hiccup or two in the form of fighting another candidate Turquoise was level the whole time. When he turned 18, he graduated on time and started mechanic duties. It's taken a while as a basic mechanic but years of sleeping, eating, working and repeating the process he has gained the abilities to let him do starting jobs on the dragons. A job he takes seriously and with great honor.
Turq is still a Cardinal because he simply can't justify spending the time to apply for Echo when it would gain him nothing but a different apartment and a payraise - he's quite content with what he has now.
