{PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION}Tall and decently built, with deep blue eyes and casually mussed mouse-brown hair, you'd never peg Talbot for being an Inquisitor, especially considering how nonchalantly he carries himself. And you'd be very, very wrong.
He sports several piercings and a few tattoos-- most prominently being the bright red roses on the side of his neck and on his hips. Not normally visible is a small tattoo on the inside of his lip of a rather poorly drawn penis.
{PERSONALITY}Bold, charismatic, independent, audacious, patient and fiercely intelligent without you ever realizing it. Soba is, at his heart, an absolutely magnificent bastard.
JENSEITS VON GUT UND BOESE'A claim taken as obviously true is really just based in assumptions so deep that we no longer recognize them as assumptions' - Soba is incredibly diligent, and never takes anything at face value without vetting it three times over. There's always something underneath the polish, and Soba always has the time to sit and scrape until he gets to it.
SO, TRUE STORY...Soba is a liar, and it's hard to tell if he knows he's a liar or if he's a liar on purpose or what. He spends so much of his working hours getting a read on other people that he kind of tends to lose himself in the process. He'll start picking up habits he never had before, accents and mannerisms he never had before, little verbal tics, the works. And rather than trying to hold onto the last vestiges of his own identity, he's decided to just "roll with it", and keep those traits for himself.
More to the point, though, is that he's also an actual liar. He bullshits just to bullshit, and it's genuinely best to take anything he says with a grain of salt.
BUILDING BETTER WORLDSThe ATC churns out Pilots, Inquiry makes sure those Pilots remain worthy of the name. While Soba knows that what he does is far from "nice", he genuinely believes it to be necessary. He hates Pilots who tarnish their title, and takes wild, nigh-sadistic pleasure in hunting them down.
Fun Facts!:- Collects fossils and other remanants of organic things-- petrified wood, fossilized coral, antlers, shark teeth, animal skulls, etc..
- Has a tendency to "steal" anecdotes and retell them like they happened to him.
- Can't stand the quiet, he's always gotta have some kinda auditory stimulus, even when he's sleeping. White noise machines are the best invention known to man.
- Gestures wildly when speaking. When he's typing, it is with great gusto, and even when he's relatively calm he's slamming the keys.
{SPECIAL ABILITIES}Psionics: Telepathy, Psychometry and Imprinting. In terms of his interrogations, he 'primes' himself with information gleaned from personal objects-- key phrases, names, events, words, etc.-- and uses his knowledge there to 'disarm' his target enough to telepathically punch into their thoughts, which are typically focused on the events he'd just gotten done speaking about.

Tykada - his best friend in all the world, even if they live in separate cities. She is absolutely awesome and he will not hear one bad word about her.
Peebles, Destroyer of Worlds - a little black kitten he "rescued from a fire/ghosts/the crushing weight of physical existence". He had rescued a whole box of kittens and doled then out to fellow Pilots, but he kept Peebles for himself.
Flume - coworker, whose services Talbot taps quite often and with great vigor. Enemies of the state, beware.
Dragon: A lovely and ancient emerald dragoness named Mielikki. Her spine is largely mechanical, with large "pipes" running along her back, which branch out and towards her tail like stunted trees. Her forelimbs are also mechanical, wicked sharp and spiked along the "elbows".
