Physical Description
Lyra has a lithe build. She has lightly pale skin, green eyes, and white hair. Her hair is tied up into a flared out bun. Her hair is always up, but if it ever was not up in a bun it is very long and her hair reaches her bottom. She is usually wearing a gray mechanic's overall suit with boots. It's basically a one piece suit with a zipper in the center, long baggy pants, and a long sleeved jacket with a lot of pockets for small tools. Underneath she wears a tank top and shorts because if she wore any more she would get too hot in her suit. She is often seen unzipping the top part of her suit enough to knot up the sleeves together in the front, revealing her tank top. Sometimes when she is out in the junk yard looking for spare parts she is seen with something that looks like a miner's helmet with the flashlight on. When working on a project she has a tool belt with every pocket filled.

Personality
On the surface level she is very friendly and welcoming, especially to her customers, but inside she is mistrusting and uncomfortable with people. She calls herself anti-social, but feels that society forces interaction in order to survive. She is usually perceived as being calm and collected. But sometimes people feel that she's being sly and deceiving. She prefers people calling her by her last name.

History
Being given the property from her family before her, she has been working as a mechanic and junk yard owner since she was a young'in. Her father and mother were very nice people, and encouraged Althea to marry as soon as she turned 18 to make sure that she had 'someone to take care of her' in case they wouldn't be around anymore. Her parents kept their criminal history a secret to her, so Althea didn't know what the big rush was, especially since she had a hard time trusting people.

One day, at the age of 18, her family was raided by Pilots, as her parents have been smuggling weaponry and other illegal goods under the government's nose. Her parents were shot on site, while she hid in the basement her father shoved her in before the attack. After the Pilots recollected the goods, Lyra was left alone to run the junk yard and the mechanic site. Occasionally officials would come by to make sure she wouldn't do what her parents have done. They would often demean her family name, but despite her anger at them, she still feels pride carrying her name and prefers to be called Lyra, instead of Althea. Maybe for her, it is a sort of form of rebellion against the officials.

Despite only being 21, she is highly skilled to work out mechanics and seems to almost always find a way to fix your machinery. You would wonder what a mechanic is doing in the Lower Caste, but there are a lot of machinery here that constantly needs fixing. There are factory workers who call her up, or even the rare case of street racers who need their motorcycles perform for their next race. Usually she's covered in grease and oil by the end of the day.

For the past year she has been contemplating about becoming a pilot to rise in the ranks and leave the lower caste. She dreams that there she can tune and upgrade dragons, and maybe even fix up better weapons, or help invent new machines, and to look upon her last name as an honor, and not as an offspring of criminals. But until she makes that commitment, she is staying at the junk yard.

But... she has told a few close friends that she was making something, and it she appears quite passionate when she talks about whatever "it" is. But it is a close kept secret. A secret that sometimes keeps her up late at night. So far, the rumors have not reached the officials, and has not got onto the main streets. Hopefully it will never reach their ears.
