Event rules. <3

These rules are specific only to this event, to keep everyone on the same page and ensure things don't get insane. :3 Please read, understand, and follow these rules so this goes smoothly!

Event Rules
1.) To keep things from getting too confusing, individual threads should be posted outside of any large group ones whenever characters want to discuss things in private. So if Character A wants to pull Character B aside and discuss something in alone, they'll need to write that they are leaving their current thread and start a new one. Just put in the topic description where it's taking place!

2.) Characters can only be active in one thread at a time. (Please note this only applies to this event! The game still runs on liquid time outside this event.) So if Character A and Character B are in different threads and they want to go meet up, you'll need to write that they are leaving their current thread then either join an existing thread or start a new one. When you're done with that thread, just write that they're leaving it and then go rejoin/create another thread, and so on.

3.) This is a public affair, and despite this event being broken up into multiple threads, all the characters will still be in the same room for the bulk of it and thus able to see each other. Thus, there really is no privacy. With that in mind, you can pop into other peoples' threads at any time, so long as you're not violating rule #2--and so long as the characters are still in a public location, like in the ballroom (as opposed to hiding in the restrooms or heading back to their room or something).

4.) There will also be a posting order for threads with over two people. However, posting order does not apply to your character if you are leaving a thread. If you want to leave a group thread but it's not yet your turn, no worries. Just go ahead and post your "leaving" post whenever you want to leave the thread.

5.) If it is your turn and you have not replied to the group thread in three days, you can be skipped. You can still reply once you have a chance and the posting order will adjust to the new order, but this is just to ensure that the thread does not get stalled (or killed) by any one person. If you don't feel like you have anything to respond to when it is your turn, you can always ask to be skipped.

6.) There is a word maximum of 250 words for the group threads in this event. This is so that we can both keep the threads moving and make sure people don't get too overwhelmed by actions. When you have a lot of people in turn before you, when it gets to your turn...that can be a lot to react to! This will also force us all to really think about what we want to include in each post--and think about what we can spread out among other posts. You may go over the word maximum if you want to include introspection/internal dialogue during an intense scene, but please make sure to really limit your character's actions and dialogue. If we feel like you have done too much in one post, we may ask you to edit it so that you can split those actions up among later posts.
