Molly Talmaier, Psychic Test Subject
« on: January 18, 2009, 10:54:14 am »
Name: Molly Talmaier
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Orientation: Bisexual
Occupation: TRIM Subject
Number: 2460187347
Origin: Aedolis

Molly's medium-length brown hair falls loosely over her shoulders, and she looks around with a pair of perpetually curious blue eyes. Her movements are graceful, if a little quicker than they need to be. She speaks with an exotic accent that others can't quite seem to place. Her magnetic personality and bewitching appearance are the result of more than a little psychic persuasion, but then again, as a self-taught psychic she's never been above manipulation of the mind.

Her education in Haviah certifies her as a medical technician, and she seems to have at least a fringe interest in neurobiology and the functions of the mind. Knowing fully that she'd be drafted into the candidate program if found by the Pilots, she did manage to avoid attracting attention at first. Over time, though, she became more confident of her ability to evade detection -- and it only took one mistake.

TRIM Record 2460187347-I001

"Molly Talmaier. Age 20, Haviah EMT. Mild psychic ability reported during health screening, doctors followed normal procedure, referred to Citadel. Pilots did not agree, said the woman was devoid of any higher cognitive ability whatsoever. However, since a typical non-sensitive individual would appear otherwise, additional mental probing was performed. At that point, Talmaier entered a comatose state and did not recover for several hours. Deemed unfit for military service, scientific deportation recommended."

- Citizenship Release Record, Citadel Archives

"The ease with which the subject was able to create a mental barrier at her screening makes her simultaneously an impossible choice for the candidate program and an attractive one for TRIM. The doctors didn't even notice, thought she was some kind of animal. How do psychics shield their thoughts, we asked her on arrival, and the subject seemed amused. In early sessions, she has come across as eerily accepting of her environment. She laughs with us, casts idle glances over at the results of our tests, and seems particularly curious of the psychic abilities of others."
