Title: You're pretty, I'm pretty, lets go shopping
Post by: Anonymous on October 23, 2011, 11:34:49 pm
Grey really wasn't sure if his first mission was awesome or a total let down. It wasn't really...exciting, but on the other hand, some mage thought he was hot and wanted him to escort her shopping. Flattery like that, he was pretty cool with and there was no chance he was going to get shot at or anything.

He got to wear his civvies for this, tight jeans, a loose button up, bitchin' vest and some sneakers. Tucking a strand of stark white hair behind his ear, he took a breath and knocked on the door. No matter how trivial, it was his first mission and he wanted to do a good job.

The door swung open a few seconds after he knocked to reveal Miyurin, hair straightener in one hand. She had dressed up in a casual but sleek red sundress accented with a jade pendant that hung between her breasts. For a moment she looked annoyed and inconvenienced, mouth open as though to demand what Grey wanted, but then she registered who it was and her expression brightened.

"Oh! The pretty one!" she said with a smile before stepping back and waving him inside. "Come on in, please! I'll only be a few more minutes. You mind? Oh, of course you don't!"

Whoa, red dress? The mage was pretty ballsy. And hot! Grey smiled at her, stepping inside, "Take your time, it's cool. I know better than to rush a woman getting ready." He glanced around her place, taking it all in, "Nice place."

Miyurin let the door close behind them and went back to straightening her hair, which was mostly done. It was naturally wavy, almost curly, but she preferred it straight.

"Sure is," she said, referring to her home. The inside was neat and tidy with several plants scattered about at strategic, aesthetically pleasing points--and most of the items in her home were placed deliberately, all the better for energy flow, symmetry, and balance. She favored minimalism and simplicity. "Shoes off, please. Be careful not to track anything in!"

Finishing up the last few locks of hair, she smiled brightly over at him. "So, I hear you're new. How you liking it so far?"

Slipping off his shoes, Grey left them by the door, hands shoved in his pockets as he sprawled over her couch. It was a very typical house, all good vibes and energy flow. Grey had never been able to get into that mind set, his life was all cluttered chaos.

"Donno. This is my first mission, but escorting smoking hot chicks shopping isn't so bad. There are much worse ways to spend my day."

"Your first mission? Really? Oh, well that's exciting. I get to break in the rookie, hm?" Smiling, she finished her hair and turned the flat iron off and unplugged it, winding up the cord. "I promise to go easy on you. Maybe. Anyway, you seem to have a decent enough grasp of fashion and don't look like a slob, so we should have a great time together."

She hardly blinked an eye at his compliments--mainly because, well, they were true and she fully believed them.

"Oh, you can break me in all you want. I do hate to break it to you, but I'm a total slob, I just dress well." He waved one of his socked feet at her, propped up on the arm rest of her couch and grinned.

Miyurin wrinkled her nose at that and arched an eyebrow, then waved a hand at his foot, laughing. "Oh, well, considering I'm using you for your looks, that's what matters. Well, that and that you don't smell. What you do behind closed doors is your business, horrifying as that sounds..."

"You one of those uptight neat freaks then?" Grey grinned, then still making eye contact, he pushed a ceramic coaster off her coffee table, knocking it to the floor.

Miyurin gave Grey a flat, unamused look. Stepping forward, she picked the coaster up and laid it back on the table, just out of his reach.

"That's breakable, you know. Nothing to do with being a--" Airquotes. "--'neat freak'. Now are we finished here or are you ready to properly escort me?"

"Uh huh." Grey grinned, sitting up, "Now don't be angry. I was just playing with you a little. Let's be friends."

With a smooth motion, he stood and took Miyurin's hands in his own, "You just look extra hot with that angry spark in your eye. Now, where can I take you?"

Bah. Miyurin couldn't stay angry when someone was making such a blatant appeal to her vanity. With a sigh, she let the angry flare die down to embers and looked up at him with a wry smile--though she didn't have to look up very far; he was barely taller than her.

"Oh, fiiine. But stop trying to break my things," she said. "Anyway, let's go to the mall! I'm dying to check out this new store they opened. All the latest fashions from all over the galaxy! It sounds so marvelously expensive!"

"Your wish is my command." Grey smiled brightly and gave her a deep bow, an attempt at mimicking a much older age, "I assume you mean the Fairwood mall?" There were a few large malls scattered about, but that was the closest one.

"Fairwood? Oh, gods no!" Miyurin gasped, making a face. "I mean the Strip! Fairwood? Goodness. Maybe if I was desperate."

The Strip was a rather trendy, high end mall--and was Miyurin's favorite though she could rarely afford. But every now and then she did so enjoy dropping an impressive amount on a new purse or pair of shoes or cute new dress.

Grabbing her large purse and slinging it over her shoulder, she headed for the door.

"Do I get to watch you try things on?" The idea of watching a pretty redhead model clothes for him was appealing. These missions were way cooler than the ones he had done with him mentor! Following after her, Grey led her over to his car, holding the door open for her.

"Depends on what you mean by that," Miyurin said as she slid into the passenger's side. "If you mean can you come into the room with me? No."

"What if I make sad eyes and look real cute?" Grey grinned, closing her door before sliding into the drivers seat, "I do really good puppy eyes."

Miyurin laughed and set her purse on the floor. "Well, I'd have to see the puppy eyes first before I decided, now wouldn't I?"

Grey turned and gave Miyurin the best puppy eyes he could, quivering lip and misted eyes and everything.

Miyurin stared at Grey, trying to keep a straight face, then just snort-laughed and gave his shoulder a playful shove. "Oh, stop! Fiiiine. You can wait outside but you're not coming into the stall. Now come on! Start the car and let's go! They're not open all day."

"Awww. Such a tease!" Grey grinned, starting the car and driving along toward the Strip. It was a little bit of a drive, but he didn't mind, "And you just want me to follow you around and look pretty?"

"That's the idea, pretty boy," Miyurin said with a grin. "Do you mind being an accessory?"

"To a stunning redhead? I can think of way worse ways to spend my day. If I do a great job, do I get a kiss?" Grey smirked, glancing over at Miyurin.

"Mmm..." Miyurin eyed Grey up and down. "Maybe. We'll just have to see, won't we? Prove to me you want it."

She liked to make people work for her affection. And having pretty boys slave away for her? She wasn't going to lie, that was awesome.

"Baby, I will make that very clear." Grey grinned, chatting easily with the mage for the rest of the trip. He used to be awkward around mages, uncomfortable with the magic they had. But after spending so much time with them in training, it was getting much easier.

And much easier to just see a smoking hot redhead rather than a mage.

Pulling into a parking spot, Grey turned the car off and got out, stretching, "Whoo. You had better find some good stuff to make that trip worth it."

Miyurin slid out of the car and carefully shut the door, then checked herself in the window reflection to make sure her hair was in perfect order. "Good stuff? Oh, honey, it's not the clothes, it's the wearer. I make things look good."

She grinned at him and winked. "Besides, I'm letting you see what I try on. Consider yourself privileged!"

"If it's not the clothes, then why are we here?" He was just teasing her. Grey loved to be well dressed and his clothes were trendy and sleek. But still, it was a drive out here.

"Aw, angel, it is privilege to see you wear anything, but I really want to see you wearing nothing." He offered her his arm.

Miyurin rolled her eyes and took his arm with a grin. "Ah, such a charmer. I may just fall at your feet and beg you to have me."

Tugging at his arm, she started off for the stairs leading up out of the parking garage. "Now hurry up! We don't have all day."

Gray led the way into the mall, idly people watching as they went. It was her trip, so he didn't try to lead once they were inside the clean, elegant building, "If you want me on my knees and begging, I can do that. Gladly. I'll even kiss your pretty feet."

"Will you, now?" Miyurin arched an eyebrow and grinned. "Well then, we'll just have to put that to the test--and don't think I won't."

With an innocent smile his way, she lead the way into one of the shops--a trendy but classy department store...that was also quite expensive. Miyurin wouldn't settle for nothing but the best, for nothing but the best deserved to touch her skin, as far as she was concerned. And that went for more than just clothing.

She made a beeline for the dress rack and held up a slinky black one. "What do you think?"

"Black? Really? With your coloring, you could do something so much...bolder. Black is for people that don't know how to colorize." Gray felt that black had its place, and some events you needed that black outfit, but he was a fan of color. Something much more eye catching.

"What about that grey one? With that lace over there."
