"Uhm..." Sitara stared blankly at Rhevi, because she didn't understand a word that disembodied voice from his wrist terminal said. It was a lot of jargon, a lot of official speak that sounded really important and like it was meant to mean something--important enough he had made sure it spoke in her language so she could understand! Unfortunately, though she recognized the words individually, she didn't understand what they meant collectively.

So she just wound up staring at Rhevi with huge, wide, blank eyes.

"Uh...yes? Sounds good?" she said weakly, with a smile and a little laugh.

She didn't want to admit she didn't understand and look stupid.

It was around that time that, like clockwork, the Sassy Juice pulled into view, and Ari couldn't help but let out a whistle at the sight of that ship.

Massive, would be putting it mildly.

In any case, it was showtime, and time to find out whatever the hell it was he was picking up. Maybe he should have asked Sarah for deets earlier, but it had sounded like their window was tiny and urgent--and besides, knowing Sarah, it was some sweet new technology. Of course he'd leaped onto the chance to pick up whatever her buddies were dropping off.

With a flip of a switch, he turned on his comlink. "Valari Hesta, this is Captain Maxwell of the Sassy Juice. Do ya read me? Over."

It was the appreciative whistles and "oohs" that drew Ari's ear and, curious, he headed for the other looky-loos.

A new ship had docked at the docking bay, and as Ari pushed through the gawking crowds, he had to let out an appreciative whistle of his own.

Damn, that thing was a beaut.

Definitely the sort of ship he would target out in the black.

Well, he had some time to kill now, so he edged around some gawkers to get a good view, curious to see just who would step out of such an elaborate ride.

Physical Description
Poe is shapely and voluptuous, with a full bust, rounded hips, and long legs. She has a heart-shaped face, pouty red lips, and green, cat-like eyes framed with thick black lashes. Her skin is fair, peachy in color, with a delicate smattering of freckles over her nose and a beauty mark by the right corner of her mouth.

Her hair is long and apple-red, flowing down past her hips in waves.

In her day to day life, she likes to dress casually, in crop tops and shorts/skirts and strappy sandals, with cute, clunky accessories and matching sunglasses, usually with a matching purse. On the job, well. |: It's lingerie or nothing at all.

Personality
Bubbly, friendly, and open. Poe is the sort of person who can talk about anything with anyone, and no topic is off limits for her. She's a people person, and she loves being the center of attention. From an early age she adored the limelight, so she was basically always destined to be a performer. It wasn't until adulthood, however, that she figured out just what sort of performer she would be.

While many often dismiss her as vapid and shallow, since most usually only see the persona she displays in her cam shows, she's bright and intelligent--and has plenty of criticisms about the Aedolian government, though she keeps those to herself out of fear. But she hates how a huge chunk of their population is treated, though as of now she's not quite sure what can be done about it. Poe is deeply humanitarian, with a strong sense of justice, and strangely enough it is her job that has made her more and more aware of the injustices Aedolis has committed against its people. After all, her job lets her meet all sorts of folk online--including, sometimes, people from the Lower Levels.

And even people from underground networks...

Lately, some of her "private, paid only" shows have been dabbling into subjects that are far less sexy and far more subversive. Poe knows it's dangerous, even foolish, and yet she can't help but slowly slip down the rabbit hole. After all, she and her family came from the Lower Levels--and she can't help but feel a deep sense of loyalty toward them. If there's any way she can help them...her bleeding heart wants to do it.

Though Poe is a sex icon, and though she has the libido to match, she believes in safe sex! In fact, she has an entire segment on her channel that is dedicated to healthy talks about sexuality and sex positivity and consent. She also has segments on fashion, including cosplay--as she does like to do sexy cosplay, and has gotten pretty well-known for that.

Magic/Abilities
A minor gift of illusions and suggestion. Poe does her best to hide this ability, however, because if the government found out, and found out what she is...she'd be in trouble. She also has power over dreams, and can induce sleep, as well.

She'd also be in trouble if the government discovered her other abilities, which are very, very dangerous: she feeds off of sexual energy and the life force connected to it. As it stands now, the sexual energy generated from her shows is enough to sustain her, which is a good thing, because she has no real control over her abilities. So she's remained abstinent, since the one time she performed oral she nearly killed the guy. Likewise, kissing someone can entrance them, and make them very, very vulnerable to suggestion.

Those are all things she personally hates. Way too squicky for her.

Relationships
Her mother! Still alive and well!

Her father was an incubus that preyed on her mother. She has never met him, and never wants to.

History
Born to a human mother and incubus father in the Lower Level of Aedolis.

Started doing crappy webcam shows in her bedroom, which grew in popularity (thank you, succubus influence!)--until eventually she was noticed and bumped up through the Levels. By 20, she and her mother were allowed to live on the Upper Level due to her success and popularity, and she's been slowly expanding her brand.

[Omg smack me I thought I'd replied to this ages ago but I forgot to bookmark it ahhhh!!]

With a frown, Nuri smacked the side of her scanner. It was going all sorts of crazy, and crazier still as she entered the ruins.

"C'mon," she muttered, giving it a shake. "C'mon, don't do this now!" She was so close! So close to tracking whatever it was she was tracking! But she couldn't exactly follow the signature if her equipment wouldn't--

Oh.

There it went.

Just like that, it cleared up, and a single, bright point manifested on her screen. Squinting her eyes at it skeptically, Nuri turned in a slow circle, testing her connection, and when the point remained unwavering, she let out a slow breath so as not to fog her visor and started toward it.

Must be some sort of electrical interference, she told herself as she walked. Maybe from my equipment, or my vehicle. It's the first time in who knows how long that any foreign bodies have been to this place...

Nothing to be worried about!

"Pffhaha, uh, yeah, no. Go for the fake look. I've heard people actually get their arms taken off willingly, and I...yeah. I can't even imagine," Jewel said with a shudder, rubbing at her arm as though imagining it.

"Tats are way, way less painful," she said, as she opened up the next box and started to put away its contents.

...Oh.

Shiloh blinked as he got his first good look at the guy. His first look at the rather good looking guy, which he wasn't really expecting for a Wasteland shithole. Weren't all these people supposed to have rotten teeth and banjos and shit?

...Not that he cared about good looking men. Really.

Even as he found his eyes drifting to his lips.

To check for missing teeth! Really.

He blinked, only realizing the guy had been talking after a second or two of silence.

"Huh? Uh...yeah. Barracks. Yeah, sure, whatever," he said, scratching the side of his head. "Hey, ya mind tellin' me where I am while yer at it? Got kinda sidetracked, can't tell one rock from th' next, yanno?"

Jewel shivered a little as he traced a finger along the rose, but she grinned and gave a small shrug. "I figured if it was going permanently on my skin, I was gonna save up for the best of the best. Great guy, Jeff. If you're looking for ink, he's at The Meteor in Tynova."

She let go of her collar, letting it snap back into place. "You got any ink yourself?"

"Not as inked as I wanna be," Jewel said, and noticing his look, she hooked a finger in the collar of her shirt and stretched it out and off her shoulder. Just enough to expose one red, watercolor-style rose inked onto her shoulder, and the thorny vines that snaked along her collar bone and met between her breasts.

"It's on both shoulders," she said. "I want a shitton more, but these things are expensive. Especially for someone making minimum wage."

"That's it? Huh. Okay, yeah, that doesn't sound so bad," Jewel said with a shrug.

"I mean, I guess it is if you're freaked out by needles and shit?" She motioned to herself, a gesture encompassing her many piercings and the tattoos peeking out from the collar of her shirt. "I obviously don't have that issue."

Okay, yeah, Jewel wasn't aware of that part. Her eyebrows rose.

"Does it...hurt?"

"You're gonna have to stop chewing on me if you want me to move," Jericho murmured with a little shiver, body as relaxed and stretched out as a cat laying in the sun. She didn't get much physical contact in the first place, loner that she was, and then when she did, it was to scratch an itch and be on her way. It wasn't often she just got caressed.

And all those scritches were making her scalp all tingly and wonderful.

Goddammit, she really didn't want to move now.

But, they did have things they had to do. Important things. So with a sigh, she finally swatted him away and say up (careful of the ceiling!), running her hands through her disheveled hair. "Where'd our clothes end up this time?"

Ask and you shall receive, it seemed! Sitara listened to it all without interrupting, her floppy ears lifted as high as she could get them as though that would better help her retain that outpouring of information.

It was...a lot to take in.

And a lot to remember.

She really wished she had something to take notes! But when he spelled it out like that, she could see how her impatience was dangerous, and how, well, maybe he was right. She would have to take it slow. Even though she really, really didn't want to, even though she felt that each extra minute of planning was an extra minute where someone might die or be maimed beyond saving.

When he was done, Sitara was quiet for a long moment as she let it all sink in--and hopefully stay there. Her hands curled against her knees, eyes closed as though that would help her memorize everything, and finally she let out a breath and looked back up at her...crabby companion, who had, indeed, turned out not so bad after all.

In fact, shit...now she didn't really want to leave him.

"You sure you can't come with us?" she said after a long pause, looking up at him hopefully. "I mean, ya like...you know all this shit, you seem to have a handle on it, so like...why don'tcha help us kick ass and stuff, yeah?"

Oooh, yay!

My Pilot, Keziah, would be more than happy to mentor her! 8D

And if she wants some friends, I've got my Stage 5 Candidate, Dakota! He runs errands for the Pilots and teaches some classes as he's waiting for a dragon to pick him. I've also got Arrow, who's a shy Stage 1, and Rachel, who is a boisterous Stage 1 who basically likes to befriend everyone and get into trouble. Aaand then there's Val, who...is stuck in a wheelchair right now and basically hates everyone. |:

My character, Yazuri, needs some lovin'!

In fact, I even started up a thread where she, uh...sets her kitchen on fire. Someone wanna help her out? She is a SUCKY FIRE MAGE.

She could also use a Mordecai partner! 8D

And mage friends!

"Yeah, sure, not a problem," Jewel said as she went over and grabbed a heavy stack of two boxes, grunting under the weight. But she made sure to lift with her knees, not her back, and was quick to shuffle on toward the kitchen.

Even though her place here was as good as secured for now, some deep part of her desperately worried about being useful.

"Get anything good?" she called over her shoulder as she plopped the boxes onto a counter and started to tear the tape open.

"Finding them is priority one, everything else is secondary," Sitara said firmly, looking up at him. "Every second wasted is a second too late. Food, water, shelter, whatever, we can figure that out later, but we can't do jack shit for them if they're already dead 'cause we were trying to figure out how to feed 'em. Starving free is way fucking better than starving under THEIR care."

She gave her ears another nervous tug. "I just...at the very least I wanna check on 'em. Know they're...okay. I'm not saying we should be idiots about this but if we're gonna do this, we gotta do this like NOW 'cause they're fucking dying while we speak and--!"

She stopped, took a deep breath, and rested her fists on her knees. "Do YOU got any bright ideas?"
