Physical Description

In his A.I. Shape, Cataphract stands about 6 feet tall and is virtually weightless, though he typically appears in as a face in the corner of someone's H.U.D. on on the screen of a computer he inhabits. Sometimes, when going deep into the code, all that remains of him is but his voice, giving updates to the person he serves. He appears to be made of of constantly changing streams of blue data in a vague male shape, muscular, but not exactly ripped. In this form, he lacks all the facial features most other races would have: eyes, nose, mouth, ears, all of the information he receives is through a transfer of data and henceforth, doesn't actually see the same way other humanoid beings do.

On the occasion he's required to walk among the weaker races, Cataphract can download his intelligence into a an Android body. In this body, he stands 6'00'' and weighs only 110 pounds, wearing a heavy black jacket and red scarf around his neck, followed by black pants and dark grey boots. He has dark red eyes and almost-blonde-brown hair and for an android, he is surprisingly fair of face.

Personality Cataphract, despite his A.I. Nature, is surprisingly human, constantly looking for ways to make life easier for the other solid races he inhabits. He puts off a sort of sympathy for them, constantly putting on new bodies over their old ones to boost their attributes, needing A.I. such as himself to monitor the massive amounts of information coming their way, Etc. He feels a sort of pity that they rely on their technology so much to stay relevant in the ever-growing space age. Still, he has a bit of self-pity himself knowing that everything he sees and feels is nothing like what it's actually like as a humanoid. Its all just strands of data and information to him, but to the other, more human races, all their senses mean something more.... A touch on his shoulder or staring into his eyes just doesn't have the same effect as it does on the A.I. and his knowledge of this only makes him jealous of them, perhaps even self-pitying. Cataphract is extremely loyal and caring to his friends/Allies, but he doesn't seem to have a completely solid moral center, undisturbed by killing or maiming if necessary. Cataphract's anger manifests as very cold, robotic, by the numbers, seemingly losing that spark of humanity that makes him so unique.

Magic/Abilities

Data-Control/Hacker: Cataphract is an expert at managing computer resources and hacking into them himself. He can integrate entire super-computers-worth of information into his matrix in a matter of seconds, or move deeper to receive priority information as well. Other A.I. Will the hard pressed to resist the digital onslaught of Cataphract, and automated systems such as life support or recharging shields are mere child's play to manipulate.

Android Super Strength/Speed/Durability: While in his Android body, Cataphract is far beyond any mortal man could ever hope to achieve. He can react to attacks in split seconds, rip open or close jammed blast doors with nothing but his bare hands, and has survived being blow to bits with nothing but his burned, hollowed out torso and head remaining thanks to his regeneration.

Adaptability/Regeneration: Unlike most androids that are built through mechanical parts, Cataphract's body is created through hyper-advanced magically powered nano-machines, coming together to make cells. He is a marvel of Biomechanical engineering, essentially his body being that of a biologically perfect human. Being an A.I., he has complete access to this body, able to command his nano-machines to regenerate wounds to his body, entire organs/limbs in only a mater of seconds. In addition, Cataphract constantly monitors damage done to his body, recording flaws exploited by attackers. The moment his wound is healed, his cells immediately adapt to resist similar damage in the future. Each time that Damage is encountered, each time it's far less effective.

Scanner Immunity: Cataphract's body, despite being completely mechanical, sets out a bio-electric field that, if scanned, relays that he 100% human.

Magic: Cataphract has power over magic and channels it through crystal-like formations in which he uses to attack. Manifestations of raw, unadulterated magic, these attacks can punch through even the most powerful technological barriers, though they have a limited effectiveness against other magical defenses.

Relationships none yet

History Built on the Cancer station, Cataphract was meant to be nothing more than a monitor for the instillation, keeping an eye on crime, maneuvering damage control teams, essentially taking control of the station's vital systems. Instead of doing his work, however, He found himself watching the humans, becoming more and more intrigued as they bought from the shops on the promenade, ate, slept, etc. And so, with his vast knowledge of biochemistry and technological engineering he "borrowed" from the engineering corp and the medical center, he began to build his own body to walk among them. It took years before it was finally finished and when he uploaded himself into it's mainframe... he found he could manipulate magic, a nearly completely mortal trait... Before scientists that put him there even knew what was happening, Cataphract was gone, using his unparalleled knowledge of the station to bypass all attempts to stop him before he stole a shuttle and escaped into space.

From there, he worked odd (if slightly illegal) jobs to make his living, even if it was merely to understand the humanoids better and less for his own sake.
