POST-A-THONS!

So! Some of you may have noticed talk in the cbox about having a Post-A-Thon. Basically, we'll decide on a day, and on that day we will go crazy and post our hearts out. :3 Maybe we can even make this a monthly tradition!

But for our first one, what we need to know is: what days work for you all?

So post here and say what works, and from that we'll try and figure out a date that works for everyone or at least most people. ^^

NOW GIVE SOME DATES!

For me, pretty much any day works as long as it's after the 15th, and not Christmas Eve and Christmas day. ^^ Other than that, I can't see any other dates being a problem.

Anytime after the 20th is good for me, by then Ill be moved back home and ready to rock! since finals are next week and so is moving, however, before the 20th is kinda icky.

Before 12/19: Alaina is freaking out about finals.
Christmas Eve/Day: Same as Rhi, off limits. I like eggnog and cookies.
After 1/23: Alaina has descended into the depths of essay writing once more.

I'm fine with any other day as long we can schedule it a week in advance. The way I envisioned marathon day was different from normal RP posting in three ways:

  • Slightly shorter posts unless you type crazy fast (if it's your turn, quick responses are nice!)
  • Threads based on location (a given character may only be in one thread, but may move around IC)
  • One central post-a-thon announcement with links to all threads (maintained by Rhi or Tal)

This is all open to change, suggestions, whatever. We'd still have the normal custom of post rotation - newcomers can show up at any time and insert themselves into the rotation, and any character can leave the location during their player's post.

Those are good ideas. ^^ I like 'em!

If we do the party event as part of the marathon, we'd just have to figure out how to do it in a way that doesn't exclude people who might be slower/can't make the marathon, since that's an event everyone should be able to be involved in. :3 But on the other hand, that probably isn't even an issue since the party event can go on for long after the marathon, since the marathon is only gonna be a one day event.

And of course the marathon can also include other peoples' threads--people can post like crazy to their own individual threads in addition to the official marathon threads. ^^

My schedule is weird. I'll be busy until the 15th, then it just depends on my job. Major holidays are an obvious no-go. Thursdays or Mondays work best for me

Maybe we can just all be on and sort of chat in the cbox and coordinate as we go.  ^^

As for my schedule, I am available between Dec. 19th and 26th (Jew here) but from the 27th to the 1st I have a hot date visitin'!  And my birthday is January 3rd.  And then classes begin on the 4th, BUT winter term is very light, so any day will likely be decently okay in January.

And thereafter, weekends.

Whew.  Hope that was clear.

For me after next Thursday I am totally free!

Well till Christmas Eve. Once we schedule it I'll make sure to move everything out of the way for it.

This sounds really fun I'm excited about it.

I'm talking about links to the official location threads, started for Postathon. I'll do it if nobody else wants to - but even for my own organization, I would find it helpful.

Sadly, I wont be able too then. I have work, then going out to celebrate my sisters birthday with the family. So I wouldn't be home until later.
