Rebirth [Open]

Space seemed to melt past the crescent shaped craft as it tore through the empty sea of darkness. For what seemed like an eternity the tomb ship had traversed the open space in search of a new Galaxy abundant in life and energy. And now its journey was almost complete, green holograms depicted information to a silent robed figure sitting in a large throne like chair. It was some intangible language, symbols never before recorded in this region of space. The ship began to slow as it came to a system in the huge expansive Galaxy, leaving faster then light travel a little slower then intended. Finally it came to a steady drift amongst a cluster of 9 planets all circling around one rather small sun.

Its first course was too pass by the burning fire ball before resuming its travel, there hadn't been much trouble as of yet. Still the master of the ship was unawares to what creatures and technology, if any prevailed here. The space seemed dead for what could be seen, until... yes scraps of metal and other debris. This certainly marked the system for habitation in some way or form. The ship stopped to drift over the sun, its burning heat little concern for the powerful shielding protecting the mighty tomb ship, the last craft of its kind. Finally the pilot of the vessel moved, green energies crackled as for the first time in thousands of years the figure's hand twitched. Gone was the stasis field preserving the creature for all this time. Pylons rose from the ships hull and were pointed directed towards the sun, its light shinning off the green crystals that stared upon it. They began to absorb the rays and glowed intensely.

Back in the main control deck green gauss energy began to pulsate and discharge around the black stone walls. The figure sat at the center of nexus of the ship and simply sat upright as the pylons released the energy back into the robed creature. It was clear this... thing was not human or of any other species in this Galaxy. Such energies cannot be absorbed without a fatal ending. Eventually the pylons returned under the panels of the hull, the crackling energy finally subsiding until the ship finally became still. The figure leaned forward as the final drops of power flowed into him through his throne, still as silent as ever. Eventually he stood up and looked at the burning sun through the observation glass. In his own foreign language the creature simply said, "I am Reborn."

The holo display appeared again, casting a green illuminating glow in the dark chamber, the robed figure turned to face it. Many 3D planets span around the sun, showing the orbital patterns and co-ordinates of each planet. With a simply wave of the hand the ship lurched and span around with quick ease, before shooting towards the first few planets of the system, the dark metal losing its burning red hue from the heat. Resuming his seat back on his throne, the figure resumed its silent observation of the space ahead. Passing a few planets his ship eventually came to a halt between the 4th and 3rd planets in the system. From here the alien craft fired two pods each soaring off at sub-light speeds towards each planet, scout drones. They would return with basic geographical knowledge of each planet and with it the master of the ship would use the information for... well who knows really?

Would anyone discover this vessel, had anyone detected it? Obviously these were unimportant questions to ponder for the creature, it had plenty to gain and nothing lose from any encounter. Life... it was such a wonderful thing and to be surrounded by so much again. It would've put a smile on the creatures face if it were the kind for smiling. Finally the C'tan had been resurrected into the universe, into a new fresh Galaxy. One that the being had important plans for...

Of all the C'tan Ihsahn was the last.

The legacy of the Star Gods lived on.
