So, do you have some characters who have long distance friends/family/lovers/rivals/etc. that they'd like to keep in contact with, even though they're not in the same area (and perhaps not even on the same planet)? Well, here your characters can send messages to all those significant people in their life while they're travelling or otherwise apart for whatever reason. This also makes it easier on players who may wish to have their character explore a little and indulge in other plots while still making sure that all the friendships and relationships their character has developed stay strong and intact.
Go ahead and be creative with it. There are lots of different mediums that a message can be sent through. Perhaps a hologram? A text message? Virtual Communication Network chatline? Whatever you can think of!
When posting a message to a character, in the subject line of the post please include:
1. What character the message is addressed to
2. And what character the message is from
Example: To Luke, from Leia

Messages and responses should of course be in-character, and you can write the messages however you like. You can also treat the letters as a thread--that is to say, if you message a character, they can reply to the thread and message back. You can even do the correspondence in Instant Messenger form, e-mail form, letter format...however! Have fun!
