Draetrialis walked around the Lower City, in his human form. Hmmm... at least the mortals learned to survive. he mused. He gazed around, looking at everyone, especially the women. A faint smile touched his lips, glad that he was realitively unknown in this part of Earth. The dragon chuckled a little, knowing that he would soon have a few girls swarming over him, or at least willing to talk to him.

Jax noticed some man looking at her, Spokey was at the Lupine sister headquarters, and she just felt like walking around today. The people around were going about there business as usual, buying things, lazing about, admiring the new species of flower in the near by flower shop. It was a normal day, or as normal as you can get living underground, slightly fearful that Aedolis will find a way in.
Ah, the mechanic of the Lupine sisters, life doesn't get much better than this. she thought smiling. "Hey, you lost? Never seen ya around here before." Jax said walking over to the starer, with the chains on her pants jingling, and her purple hair spikes sagging a bit.
She had been fixin up bikes and partying pretty heavily with Maki, and had tad bit of a hangover. The mechanics seemed to calm her headache down though. She wasn't high on X, which was a rare thing for her, but she couldn't work while high.

"Nah, I'm not lost." Drae said, smiling slightly wider. "I've done a little research, so I know where I'm at. So, how exactly do you all survive down here? I thought the planet was a wasteland now." he shrugged. He stuck a hand in his pocket and leaned on one leg. He did a quick mental probe and was pleased to find no malevalent intent in this girl's head.
(I hate not spelling malevalent right... Dunno how to spell check here and I can't paste it into word)

"Whoa hold up, how did you get down here if you don't know how this works?" Jax said frowning. Not that she knew how the water treatments or the magic worked anyway but to have someone this clueless wasn't good.
Unless the scouts brought him down here. Whats this about research? Jax thought suspiciously. A breach in Teinars security was bad. No beyond bad, it'd mean war and probably death. This place was the only free space left on earth. This had the potiental to get bad. Unless of course she was just worrying needlessly.
"Aedolis. Heard of it?" she cautiously, longing for X to escape the situation. She wasn't going to run off though. He didn't look like the type to get into a fight in public and if he happened to be that brand of crazy he'd end up in the hospital, or maybe even the prison. Jax didn't like fighting, but for her continued existance she'd kick his ass or die trying.

The dragon's face seemed to harden. "Yes... I've observed them... Even if I don't get myself wrapped up in matters like these much, I do watch from afar." he growled. "Fools, the lot of them. Let me guess, because of them, you're hiding down here until you can, at the very least, stand a chance to take back parts of the planet and try to restore it?" he added, knowing full well he was pretty much right.

"You have telepathy? That's an Aedolis thing. More specifically a Pilot thing. Yes we hide down here, some of our people are still in Aedolis. Its a dictatorship over there."
Jax shuddered at the thought. Censorship, control, dragons were all not good. Also this guy had telepathy. Physics of any kind were spies. So out of my league here. Who knows what he could do..... she thought worried.
"No one down here has telepathy. I think you ought to leave." she said trying to appear in control of the situation. He leaves, than we all go on with our lives, unless he brings people back. Shit!

"I have more than telepathy... but I am neutral in the wars of the area. I don't have any connections with Aedolis, nor do I intend to leave, since it's starting to get boring in space." he muttered, shifting to the other leg. "As you may know... not all things are as they appear. Besides, who said all dragons are bad?" he smirked, picking up the stray thought.

"Pilots can do crazy shit. More than telepathy? As in?" Jax asked, curious. Plus if he was going to be rooting around in her brain, she might as well get answers from him.
"Dragon's are not bad by themselves but when you see a dragon a pilot isn't to far behind. Sorry I don't trust you, but you can never be to careful" she than said and than thought Space, wonder what that's like. Probably no races.

"Well, I can do quite a bit. I would perfer to keep them to myself, for now. Besides... you're looking at a dragon." he smirked when he revealed this, since he now believes that he needs to have someone know who he is. "Draetrialis the Dimensional Dragon at your service. The only one of my kind here, and I am quite possibly immortal." Draetrialis said, doing a slight bow. "As you can see, shapeshifting is one skill I am particularly good at." He paused for a moment, to let it sink in.

Jax looked at the dragon before her a bit confused. Not as they appear.....whoa.
" Right, so erm lets start over." she said feeling dumb for being so scared. Its not like being immortal meant you were sadistic. "I'm Jax but you might already know that" she said pointing to her head to indicate his telepathy.
"I'm not sure I have much need for a dimensional dragon.....wait what is demensional? Like you can travel to different worlds? dimensional sounds like space of something."
Maki might have use for his skills though. Hmmm. she thought pondering him.

"I am not tied to this world, no, but I can't go far either. I only have access to one other dimension, and it is a very odd world, where spirits linger. Nothing is physical there, besides myself, since I take my body with me instead of leaving it behind." the dragon said, tapping his leg to an old tune, about 3000 years old. "Many weird things reside in the Astral Plane, the other dimension, all of them pure energy. If you ever find a way there, don't do anything stupid, like pick a fight. You'd be decimated. I am realitively safe there, since I still have my powers no matter where I go, but to use it to fight in this world is impossible." he finished, but he did add, "And what use might my skills be to Maki?"

"Another world.....I don't think I'll ever make it there. " Jax said. The idea of another world was foreign to her.
"Well, do dead people go there? If there is this other world, that you can go to than what about dead people?" If dead people could go there than she definitely didn't want to go. It'd be creepy. Best leave the dead in their graves. To be ate by the worms.
She shook her head as if to rid it of the thoughts. Rotting bodies were so not her thing to talk about. Sure this other world was interesting, but dying in it just because she didn't know the rules? Not good.
"Suppose your skills aren't useful, since we've never been to this astral place" she admitted.

"Well... If someone has buisness to attend to in this world, or if they're just plain unlucky, the dead can go there yes... but otherwise, no... The dead shall pass onto whatever afterlife there is." Drae said. "Wait... actually, there is a way my skills can be useful. I can scout out new areas. If you need parts for... bikes I think, based on what your thinking, I could find parts for you, even if I have to go to space to do it." the dragon shrugged. He looked around. "I'd like to see the things you fix... Maybe I could learn a few things. I've been away from this reality for about a thousand years, and I need to catch up on the technology..." he sighed. "Plus I'd like to meet Maki and explain what I can do." He moved his hand and triggered a temporal rift around an area. For about a minute, nothing changed there, but then there was a loud POP as time caught back up.

"Well....technically we're not suppose to race. Kinda illegal like. Not that anyone does anything about it. The thing is I haven't been in Maki's crew for long. I mean I guess I could bring you back to her....." Jax tried to think of what to do, she didn't want to blow it with Maki, but this guy could give them an edge in races if he found them parts.
"I......well I guess you could have killed me already if you were going to. Sure I'll bring you back to headquarters." she relented.

Drae smiled. "Cool. Maybe I could race with you sometime." he smirked, creating another time rift just behind Jax. In another minute, it popped loudly and Draetrialis laughed. "Man, I love time rifts."

"Sure, nothing like the pure speed. Well cept fixin em. Its calming you know? Just trying figure out how to make everything work better."
The pop in the air caused her to jump slightly.
"Wha.....?" she asked not bothering to finish the word. First strange worlds and now time rifts. Not to mention this guy could turn into a freaking dragon. Totally weird. Not ecstasy weird, because she knew what to expect on it, but a whole what the heck/fish out of water strangeness.

"Okay, I'll stop using my powers. Shall we go then? I'm itching to meet Maki and see these bikes." the dragon laughed. He smiled again and shrugged.

"Right." she said and walked off assuming he would follow her. She only trusted him because he could kill her without breaking a sweat. Yeah she was a tad scared of him but wasn't going to let him know.
Maki can handle him or at least startle him. she thought. Maki was pretty startling given the right conditions.
She opened the door to the garage happy to be back. Now this was her place, well there place, but she felt at home here. "So this is the place." she said softly. Serpentine seemed to be off somewhere.
Some spare bike parts were on one side of them. Falling apart really. Spokey was on the other right, near what where Serpentine had been earlier. Her purple paint shined invitingly. Can't you see we have a visitor? she thought smirking forgetting about Drae's telepathy.

Drae smiled. "You talk to bikes?" he asked, chuckling slightly. "Don't worry. I don't think you're crazy. Sometimes I name the asteroids I throw at the planet. Like I named the one I tossed here to take out the dinosaurs Sielaris." He flicked a finger and somehow welded one of the bike parts to it's partner piece. "What the...?" the dragon gasped. Turning to the piece, he looked for another part. He flicked his finger again and welded the two pieces together. "Wow. Appearantly I have pyrokinesis..." he muttered thoughtfully. He moved his hand around and sparked a fireball. Laughing, he said, "Now that is cool. Now I don't have to breathe fire, even if I could." Extinguishing the flame, he thought for a moment. "If I have pyrokinesis, then maybe I have cryokinesis as well..." He moved his hand towards Jax and literally gave her the cold shoulder. He made a patch of ice on the girl's shirt.

"You name asteroids? Whoa......." she said trying to make sense of that. When suddenly he welded two bike pieces together. She watched him with wide eyes. Her shoulder got a patch of ice on it suddenly.
She yelped and brushed the ice off. "Okay now seriously, turn that shit off!" she exclaimed. To much strangeness in one day. She didn't mean to yell really but he had to calm the strangeness down.
I'm hallucinating. This is just to odd. she thought the coldness of the ice still stinging her fingers. She closed her eyes childishly thinking that if she couldn't see him than he wasn't there.

Draetrialis laughed. "Okay, so I'm a little excited about the fact I have a new power or two. I'm sorry." he said. He soon added, "But I can't 'turn this shit off.' The powers are an integral part of who I am. I can try to resist torturing you any further, though." He was still chuckling when he hit his foot on something. With a quick swear, he lost a little bit of control and his hand shifted into a solid black draconic claw. When he realised he shifted, he quickly reverted to the human form. "Bah... even a little pain causes me to lose it... I really have been gone for a thousand years." he sighed.

Makani was sitting in the kitchen on the phone with someone she was trying to talk into giving her a cutting edge part. Jax had proven herself on the bikes. If she didn't know how she could figure it out, so Makani was starting the improvement process. They needed some new parts. Rupi had been gone for quite some time and Serpentine needed to get spoiled.
She was leaned back against the cabinet her legs folded underneath her. She was wearing a tight dark blue wife beater and a pair of rather short black shorts. The bend in her knees showed the darker color of her bones underneath. She grabbed a glass out of a cabinet while she listened. She lit her cigarettes and inhaled then exhaled a sigh. Some people just needed to tell her yes and get it over with.
She dug out some dirt from under one of her nails with the thumb of her other hand. Her hair was pulled back in a loose pontytail and she ruflled it while she waited. It was fairly clear she wasn't listening.
"Alright, just listen. I can get you things that are hard to find too. You act like I have no pull Dorian." She took another breath of smoke in and smiled. She had started to get her way. That's much better.
"Darlin, that's the best choice you've made all day. I'll see your beautiful face tomorrow." Makani clicked off her phone sliding it into her bra and heading down to the garage. She thought she had heard Jax come in. She wanted to see what the other sister had planned for the night. She walked out of the kitchen and into the hallway walking towards the door at the end.
Walking out into the platform her feet came into contact with the cold metal at the top of the stairs. Makani saw Jax, looking sort of agitated and some other guy. She arched a brow and leaned over placing one elbow on the railing and looking on them while the other hand held her cigarette.
"You're not bothering my Jax are you?"

Drae smiled and looked at Makani. "Hello. No, I'm not. Well, maybe a little, but only thanks to my excitement over a few things. I'm Draetrialis, the Dimensional Dragon. And you are Makani Oya, or Maki." The dragon shrugged. "I'm a telepath, among other things, so I couldn't help but delve into your head slightly. Don't worry... I only dive into surface thoughts, since I still respect the privacy of people, especially in their heads." He did a little bow. "Jax thought my skills could be useful to you, since I can go places nobody else can and find parts for bikes. Especially when I can do this." When he finished speaking, he concentrated slightly and disappeared.
He faded into the Astral Plane, with it's swirling blues and whites. He moved to in front of Maki, thought better of it, and went to the back of the garage before letting his focus slip and fading back into the physical world. To everyone, it seemed as though he did a slow teleport.

"Just getting use to his........powers I guess you call em. Thought he was from Aedolis at first. Seemed to not know much." Jax explained.
Not knowing really how to handle this she stayed in the same spot as he teleported around. Wonder if he can hear us in the other world? Something to ask I guess. she thought.
"Can you hear us when you teleport?" she asked.

Makani's eyebrow slowly rose up her forehead. This wasn't kosher was it? For real? A telepath? She leaned back when he poofed near her then away. She took a hit of the cigarette. This...was interesting. A dragon? She breathed out the smoke. She'd seen some odd things in her days but this topped most of it. Her odd things were more like: 'Did you see was Susan did at that party?' 'Totally Jeff is gonna die when he finds out she had an orgy with five girls.'
She liked her odd things better.
She pointed a cigarette at him after he popped up across the garage.
"Stay outta my head and we'll be fine." Her eyes were cold. She crossed her arms then lifted them above her head stretching. She took a hit of the cigarette and started to walk down the steps. She was measuring him up. Makani didn't really like being out of her element. A guy who could turn into a dragon? Totally out of her element. She tucked some lose hairs behind her ears and she leaned on a table standing next to Jax.
Makani's eyes went wide when Jax said Aedolis. Makani had gone through the military school like everyone else. Aedolis was not kosher, not by a long shot. She swallowed for a moment and took another hit and regained her composure. She took the back out of her pocket and offered one to Jax. Makani would give almost anyone a chance. Just because someone was odd it made them more interesting. She looked him over one last time and held out the pack towards him.
"I can deal with weird, and powers. Plus, if you can spoil Serpentine you spoil me." She smirked, one of her slightly pointed canines showing. Her eyes were warmer now.

Drae looked at Jax. "One... it isn't teleporting... It's astral travel. Two... No, I can't hear anything that goes on in the physical world while I'm gone." Looking back at Maki, he shrugged. "Eh... like I was telling Jax, I can't turn off my powers. Every now and again, I'll catch a wisp of thought from you, whether we both want to or not, but most of the time, I'll keep it to myself." He sighed and scratched his neck. "Dammit... It's been so long since I've shifted, I need to shift into my dragon form, even if I can't be my standard size... Is there anywhere I can shift and not destroy anything with my tail? Even if I'm only 5 feet long, my tail is destructive. And yes, I can control size as well as shape." he chuckled slightly.

Jax shook her head at the offered cigarette. Black lungs, not pleasant. Plus it probably would cause her to cough and look stupid.
"Astral travel, k I'll try to remember that." she said rolling her eyes. He gets what I mean. Gah. she thought.
She listened and smiled slightly at his joke of changing shape. Wasn't a very funny joke really but at least he was making an effort to act nonthreatening. Maki seemed to be okay with him though, unless of course she was just putting up with him until he left.
It was possible. Whatev they'd deal with it. "Well, I don't think we've got any big empty rooms....abandoned storage room somewhere?" she said half thinking out loud. Maybe Maki had an idea?

She pulled the back back noting he didn't even say no. She shrugged to herself and put it back in her pocket. She studied him while he spoke. He was really interesting. That would probably tip the scale really. She could accept being around a guy who had some less than attractive qualities, like being able to read her mind, as long as they were interesting. He filled that requirement.
She turned her head sideways at him as he talked about shifting.
"We can get onto the roof I guess, that might be the best place. Not many people look up here, we don't have a lot of danger from up top. Well...all of our danger is from up top but it doesn't get in very often..." She shrugged and started walking towards where the ladder was hidden in the house. She placed the cigarette in between her lips as she walked up the stairs.

Drae winked at Jax. "I'm stunning in my dragon form too, ya know." he said, chuckling as he followed Maki. When he discovered the ladder, he climbed up and looked around, making sure no danger was near. When he was satisfied, he quickly shifted, skin and clothes warping into scales and wings sprouting from his shoulders. A tail quickly spread over the roof and his teeth transformed into fangs. Once his shift was complete, there stood a magnificent black dragon. Certain scales were shining with power, looking like stars in space compared to his black scales. His claws glowed a faint purple with psionic power sealed beneath the ivory-like material. Even his eyes seemed more powerful, turning into a deeper sapphire blue than previously.
He didn't speak with his mouth, but with his mind, and his voice changed to a far deeper tone. I am now, truly, Draetrialis. Very few can stand against me now. he rumbled, his length shorter than normal, at only 10 feet long from snout to tail. I will have to change my size, of course... but my consious is usually enough to subdue anyone foolish enough to fight me. he added, stretching like a cat.

Jax followed after them. Whoa secret ladder. she thought happily. Could come in handy. She wondered what other secrets this place contained. Well hopefully she'd find out soon. She climbed up the ladder and raised her eyebrows at him transforming.
"So your clothes don't rip off like a werewolves would. Handy." she remarked. Though it would be amusing to see him naked when he transformed back. He was dangerous and probably aware of her fantasy's anyway. She shook her head as if to bring herself back to reality. Bestiality she thought smiling slightly.

Makani followed the other two up to the roof. She came up here to smoke and get away sometimes. She'd stare at the fake sky above her and listen to music in her headphones. She felt the roughness of the roof against her bare feet.
She wasn't sure what she was expecting from Dae. She was pretty sure she wasn't expecting anything. However, when he shifted she still gasped. It was something she could safely say she had never seen before. The shine of his scales in the fake sun made her rub the scales on the back of her hand. She normally tried not to think about how different she really was. She simply treated it like accessories. She wondered if she was closer to this dragon than a human. She swallowed and took another hit of her cigarette.
"Well, I have to say I'm impressed."

The dragon smiled, which was strange on his reptillian profile, and said, As for the clothes, I can change them at will, and it is handy that they shift too. He looked at Maki, his eyes seemed kinder and he added, though only to her, You are different... I actually kind of like it. Though... even though I can use fire and all that, I don't smoke, and you probably shouldn't. He chuckled, and to Jax it seemed for no reason. Flaring his wings, he did a small circle around the roof, grazing a couple shingles with his wingtip, and landed again, in the same location that he was before. Flying is amazing... I wonder how mortals stay trapped to the ground... Well, you do have starships, but most of them don't give you the same sensation as normal flight. he laughed again.

Okay laughing at himself, that's totally not crazy. she thought sarcastically.
"Riding is almost the same. Sure you don't have to worry about people throwing stuff atcha, but its the same wind and speed." Jax commented after he landed. Pausing to watch his scales sparkle she added "Bikes are better. More ways to fix em up and change out the parts and such"
Plus the thought of flying scared her a bit. Nothing between her and the hard ground but a pair of flimsy wings? No thanks. She couldn't understand how those Pilots did it. She'd have to be drugged out to even attempt such a thing.

The skin on the back of Makani's neck crawled when she heard his voice in her head. She felt goosebumps rise on her skin. That was just wrong. Creepy in so many ways, not many things intimidated Makani but this?
"What did I say about hanging around in here?" She pointed at her temple then watched him fly around. Maybe he didn't quite understand the fear in Teinar about psychics, he was new here. If he kept doing that everywhere a lot more people might get nervous. She rubbed the back of her neck with one hand and held the cigarette with the other taking a long drag. The goosebumps went away slowly.
She gave a sidelong glance to Jax. Why Jax decided to bring him back Makani didn't quite...well that wasn't ture she did understand it. The curiosity. She watched him fly and shook her head at the situation they had arrived in. She needed a drink this was beyond weird, like way fucking weird.
"Yeah, and you don't have to worry about falling out of the sky."

Drae shrugged. Sorry. In my draconic form, I can only speak telepathically. Don't worry though. I'm not reading any thoughts, except those on the surface, like how weirded out you are. Not my fault that's how I evolved. he said, stretching again. Popping his neck, he looked around. Something seems off now. He said, a faint snarl forming on his draconic visage.

"No not your fault, but you should keep yourself on the down low. I doubt all of your powers could keep every single person away forever. Not to mention if Aedolis finds out your here some how, well I'm sure they got scientists willing to do some experimentation on ya."
She wasn't saying this as a threat. More of a warning really. Yes, he was freaky but she wouldn't wish experimentation on anyone, modifications that they payed for yes, but unwilling torture was not good at all.
Not knowing what to say about something being wrong, she left the comment alone. Dragon man could deal with his own problems right? Plus if he just woke up from his hibernation or whatever travel thing, his mind could be messing with him.
"How long are you staying?" she wondered out loud. She hadn't meant to say it out loud, but she could tell Maki was creeped out. They were a crew, a family of sorts. Sticking up for one another was almost a given.

"If Aedolis found out he was here we'd have a lot more problems than them experimenting on Wingboy here." She said pointing her thumb in his direction. She guessed she could forgive him for getting into her head...it's not his fault he evolved a different way than other people, that was true. It was also a feeling Makani could understand. Her life was filled with humans, Garrett had powers but he was mostly human. Maybe it would be nice to know someone who was different.
Makani glanced around them when he said something felt wrong. She hadn't felt anything weird but he may have better instincts than her. She tossed the still lit butt of the cigarette into the bucket on the roof.
"What's up Wingboy?" She figured maybe she'd stick with the nickname, she liked it.

With a growl, he ignored the nickname and he hissed, I think someone knows I'm here. And they aren't happy about it... With a slow shift, he returned to his human form, but this time a blade was at his hip, looking like it was made of his dragon claw. "This isn't good. You two are supposed to be the only ones who know me here... This is bad." Drae said, drawing the sword and easily making the shift from telepathy to audible speaking. "What weapons do you have? You might want to get them, and fast." he added.

Shit! Jax cursed. She than remembered the pocket knife she kept in her pocket for emergency and took it out, flipping it open quickly.
"I better not be bringing a knife to a gun fight, Wingboy." she said calmly. She knew he was no good. What good is new parts if blood had to be shed over them? She wouldn't fight her country for him, that's for sure.
"Is it our military? How many of them are there?" If it happened to be there military they wouldn't stand a chance. A couple lone crazy people, well those wouldn't be much a problem but organised military with stun guns or even real guns, not good. If we come out alive I am so getting smashed.

Makani felt a chill run down her spine. Well, this was just perfect. She laughed at Jax's pocket knife. If the people who knew him were anything like him they wouldn't be intimidated by a little blade like that. They'd find it funny like she did. Makani had a gun inside in case, she didn't really know how to use it though. Just point and shoot really. She had only fired it once before.
Makani talked a big game and she could fight in a street fight. She knew how to move fast and avoid knives and punches. She also knew how to deal some. She guess that if people knew who this guy was though they weren't going to be those kinds of fighters.
"You do realize we aren't equipped for this at all right?" She hissed at him. "There's a gun inside...but..." if Fi was inside...Makani didn't even want to lure someone into the house if she was in there. She also didn't want to leave Jax out here with him by herself. That wouldn't do. Even though she had just recently met Jax she was still family. They had bonded pretty easily and Makani refused to let any thing happen to her.
"I won't have time to get it probably, and I'm not very good with it." It had been a while since Makani had gotten in a fight she hoped she wouldn't be doing that now.

The dragon's mouth was a major scowl. "Fine." He tossed his sword, after sheathing it, to Maki. "Hope you can use a sword." When he finished speaking, a bullet cracked the roof, next to Drae's foot. Swearing, he jumped back and easily found the sniper and he opened a time rift around him. "That's the only gunner. The other one has a knife." he hissed just as the second would-be assassin climbed onto the roof and slashed at Jax.

Jax dodged the swipe with a small yelp of surprise. "What the fuck?" she breathed. The attacker was to full of himself, and as Jax dodged the blade his momentum kept him tumbling forward.
Once on the ground, Jax leaped on to him pinning him with her knees. His knife skidded across the roof. She pressed her knife in his side, not enough for it to slide into his organs, but enough to make it clear that she could.
"Who do you work for? Not nice to randomly be fucking around on roofs. Someone could get hurt"
It was mainly luck that kept her from getting cut, but the would be assassin did seem rather clumsy. Flunk out of ninja school? she thought suppressing the laugh. This shit was just to odd.

Makani grabbed the blade that slid across the roof towards her. Jax could handle herself fine it looked like. All Makani had to do was stand around and watch the other two people deal with the issue. It was better that way she didn't want to fight. She walked over to stand next to Jax and the attacker.
"Well, you sure make things interesting." She said looking at Drae. A little more than interesting. She turned and hissed at the guy on the pavement and knelt down next to Jax.
"You alright girl?"

Drae looked at the gunner, who had fallen to the roof they were standing on when his timeline caught up with the rest of time. "I can take care of this... they won't talk." he said, looking at the fallen assassins. "Heh. They heard my time rifts and thought they could make a quick buck with Aedolis. Too bad." he said, chuckling. He knelt by the gunner and said, "So... what will it be? Death or willing to submit to the authorities?"

"Physically yeah. What the hell wingboy?" she said turning her head in his direction.
"Who are these guys?" she asked. "I mean weren't you like in that other world for a thousand years? What the fuck is this all about?"
Questions came out rapid fire, knowledge was power and all that. The man squirmed beneath her. She than felt something warm and wet on her sock. "Oh gods, he fucking wet himself!" she exclaimed moving her knees farther up on him. You owe me for this. she thought angrily.

Makani's nose wrinkled at the smell of the gunner. This guy, he couldn't have been after Drae. It didn't make sense. He was too afraid to be after a guy that could turn into a fucking dragon right? The two halves just didn't go together. A person had to have steel balls to go after a dragon. Apparently this guy couldn't even hold his bodily fluids. She turned to Drae.
"Man, this..." she pointed at the guy. "Is not cool, take care of this shit." Makani had a somewhat long fuse. Perhaps it was that most of the time she was too stoned and fulfilled to get pissed. Right now though? She was livid. Her house had been put in danger but some random guy that could turn into a dragon.
This couldn't be real.

Drae glared at Jax. "Not my fault they didn't know I could shapeshift... or that they suck at bladder control." he hissed, breaking the gunner's neck. He moved on to the dude Jax was on and broke his neck to. "They won't be missed." he said, pushing Jax off the body and grabbing it, along with the gunner's corpse, and faded away. When he returned, he didn't have the bodies. "There. Now... I think I've caused enough trouble..." the dragon sighed. "and I have nowhere to go..." Turning he struggled to think.

"Oh no you don't!" she said as he turned around. The guy wasn't going to answer anything, after her almost getting stabbed, and freaking her out. Not happening. She pulled his shoulders so that he'd turn around and face her.
"You don't just snap a guys neck right in front of us like its no big freaking deal! You brought danger to us wingboy, and we deserve a fucking explanation!" she screamed.
Yeah she had lost her cool, but this guy just seemed to love to set her off. Wingboy was asking for it. First the whole icy shoulder thing literally, the odd teleportation, getting attacked, who wouldn't want to know what was going on?

Makani hissed as Drae snapped the men's necks. She'd seen death. Maybe even been the cause of some when she lived on the street but she never took it lightly. He could have taken them to the authorities. They did exist here, even if they were always busy. In some ways maybe it was better though. The less people to know about Drae was better. She walked up and put a hand on Jax's shoulder.
"Calm down, Jax." She rubbed her back a little. "We should all go inside and cool off." We don't want to be n the roof after all that drawing attention to ourselves. She looked at him. He was lost and in danger. She didn't know him and she wasn't sure she wanted to, but she'd give him a chance to relax and get his bearings and explain.
"Besides I need a drink."

Drae glared at Jax, but didn't respond immediately. "Fine. I don't drink, but whatever." he muttered. Sliding down the ladder, he swore when he landed a little hard. "What do you want to know, then, Jax?"

Jax let go of him and went downstairs. "Who are they? Why are they after you?" she said trying to keep calm. She took her bottle of X from the counter and swallowed one dry. She needed to chill.
Sure she just normally would use it to party with, but she was just way to antsy not to have some. Way to hyped. The x relaxed her a tad, but she was missing the whole in love with the universe feeling that usually accompanied the drug.

"They were amateurs wanting to earn a few bucks with Aedolis. They thought if they could take out a psychic, they could retire early." the dragon sighed. The dragon sparked a fireball in his palm, tossed it around a little before freezing it into an ice ball. "Heh. Pyro and cryokinesis is great." he chuckled, melting the ice into a fireball again.

"Well, you don't have to drink then do ya?" Makani slid down after they had gone down the ladder. She grabbed her stash of whiskey off of the counter. It was a fancier kind. She also slid her finger into one of the shot glasses and carried it with her. She had some of Garrett's stash in the smoke room and grinned when she realized it.
"Hey Jax, let's go to the smoke room. I'll chill out quicker in there." Makani had a feeling she should always have her gun with her when Drae was around. Maybe it was safer that way but she hated carrying it, made her nervous that she might get pissed off and pull the trigger when she didn't need to. Sometimes she wished life just boiled down to a pull of the trigger...in some ways she supposed it did.
She jumped back when he pulled a fireball out of nowhere then froze it. She wasn't expecting that. Not at all. She shook her head and decided she needed to head back there now. She wandered down towards the smoke room holding the bottle and glass.

Jax slipped the bottle into her pocket. "Hope he doesn't mess up our stuff" she said once out of earshot of Drae. He probably wouldn't but she didn't put it past him. Not much of a explanation, plus he was dangerous.
She slunk down onto the couch. "Don't think Fi will care for him either. He's to unpredictable. I mean yeah out there stuff is cool, but he's a bit to out there ya know?"
She fiddled with the cap of the bottle, not really wanting to just pill her anger away. She wasn't an addict, she just like alternate realities sometimes. Now wasn't the time, need her wits about her if she needed to throttle wingboy.

Drae sighed and sat down, extinguishing the fireball. He was paying attention to everything going on, but he opted to 'not notice'. What the hell am I doing...? he thought, shaking his head. I guess I'm just after them. But still... why the hell am I revealing myself so much?

"Yeah, Fi will be grumpy." Makani thought for a minute. "When is she not though really?" Makani grinned at Jax trying to make the feeling of wanting to shake go away. It was hard to ignore that kind of fear in her bones. She hadn't been really scared in a long time, not a fear of death. She sighed and twisted the lid off the whiskey and poured a shot and and knocked it back.
She opened the cabinet under the table and pulled out a plastic container. She unlocked the sides and set the lid on the table. She then took out a grinder and some papers. She glanced at Drae.
"It irks me there are people in Teinar who think making a deal with Aedolis is alright, or even better a good idea." She put some of the plant in the grinder and started to turn it.
"All of us could be in danger from people like that. We're lucky to survive here most of the time."

Jax grinned back but wasn't really into it. "Sorry I brought him back, just.....gah he's to well, he wanted to come, and its not like I can say no to someone who could vaporize me or somethin."
She shook her head, wanting to believe she was dreaming, but knew she wasn't. She liked her life fine how it was. It was never this crazy, I mean sure they had fun, but powers and Aedolis was heavy stuff.
"He's pretty clueless, though. It was odd, him not knowing anything when I met him."

Drae sighed. "I heard that! I haven't been in this world for a thousand years, remember!?" he called, shaking his head. Entering the room, he leaned against the door frame. "Thanks to the many thoughts outside, metaphorically speaking, I've pieced together the history of the world since I've been gone, for the most part. I'm still clueless, yes, but I at least now know what I'm talking about." he said. Looking around, he sighed again and slid down the frame.

"Ah you can't blame us for thinking you're a little off." She grinned at him, her fangs showing. She knew she was a little off too.
"A thousand years." Makani said it admirably. She had always wanted to be immortal to live for thousands of years. To do whatever she wanted and to see the way the world changed. She was pretty sure she wouldn't want to be him right now though seeing the way the world had declined. She finished grinding up the plant and downed another shot before rolling the joint.
"What did it used to be like then? Probably beautiful right?" She finished rolling up the joint and licked it closed. Despite the shaky hands the joint was put together pretty well. She held it up and gestured to either of them.
"You guys want any?"

Jax sighed. He was a tad off but a thousand years? How had he managed to stay even remotely sane? People dying all around him. To just stop along the path and know that anyone you got close to you would outlive? That was rough.
"Yeah how was the sky?" Jax asked curious. She had never seen it, just the fakeness of the painted sky.
She than heard Maki's question. "Sure." She was gradually calming down, and forgetting the snapping sound the guys necks had made. If only for the time being. Didn't do to dwell on that stuff.

Drae looked down. "The world was a much more beautiful place... The sky was perfectly blue with white clouds... Roiling fields of green grass stretched as far as the eye could see in most places. Mountains pierced the earth and forests contained many creatures... The oceans were pure, with many creatures swimming..." He said, tears coming to his eyes. "If I could stop the destruction of the Earth before it started, then I would... but even I can't travel through time." The dragon sighed again and his shoulders sagged. "So many things have gone wrong. I've caused the destruction of the Earth once before, but I knew it would recover. Now... I don't know if this planet could recover at all."

As he spoke Makani was lighting up the joint and pulling in smoke while some of it crowded around her. She listened intently while Drae spoke. She tried to focus on his voice and the smoke in her lungs. She was holding in a big cloud of it and handing it over towards Jax when he said something about causing the destruction of the Earth. Makani gasped and then started coughing hard smoke caught in her throat.
"You did what now?" Her voice was strained. He was pushing the limits of the things she could believe. He was starting to make her feel insane, really fucking insane. She poured another shot and dumped it into her throat to warm the cough away.

"Sounds wonderful" she commented on his description of how it use to be.
Jax put the joint in a ashtray near them, keeping it burning just incase she wanted a bit later. She had to fix this whole wingboy thing. Mak looked like she was going crazy.
She saw tears come to his eyes and felt bad. "I know, must really suck to have to see the world this way, and everyone you know die." not helping she thought. Rather bad at comforting people but she was going to at least try. "Can you calm down with the revelations bud? Your kind of hurting Maki's head."
They had gotten off on a rather bad start. Jax thought a minute. "Hold up, how did they know you were a physic? If they followed you here than that's trouble. I can hold my own usually, but I'm just one person savvy?"
She had to have a clear brain for a moment. Talking strategy was important, forgetting could wait for when their lives weren't at risk. They weren't equipped to deal with this, and she didn't think anyone much was. Aedolis would experiment on him or something, and if he told anyone about Tienar they were goners. He could go out to space, it'd be out of Aedolis's reach for the most part or stay if the assassination attempts stopped. Gah this was a cluster fuck.

"Okay, one: I killed off the dinosaurs. And two: They heard my time rift and thought psychic, so they came after me. Their bodies are floating around in the aether." he muttered, sighing. Reading Jax's mind, he said, "And there is no way in ANY hell there may be that Aedolis will experiment on a dimensional dragon. Especially one with a bad attitude when pissed off." The dragon popped his neck and tapped his ancient tune again on his leg. "Anyway... I think it's best for all of us to digest things. You guys digest what just happened and all that I said, whereas I have to figure out exactly how much the world has changed." Drae prompted.

Makani listened for a moment and then when he said he killed off the dinosaurs she leaned forward, grabbing the join and breathing deep on it. Either the guy was fucking crazy, he was lying or she didn't want to hear it. None of the options really appealed to her except the last one. So she took another hit off the joint and sighed out the smoke. She decided she didn't like excitement outside of races. Not to this magnitude. she was an adrenaline junkie in some ways...but this?
It was just too much.

"Meaning your going to leave the room?" Jax asked. If he wasn't she might have to share a joint with the dude. Dragons on drugs, probably dangerous.
As it was Jax just wanted to curl up around Maki. The snake girl just had a way of making her feel safe. Plus Maki needed some relaxation anyway. She was shaking like someone had outlawed whiskey or something.
She took a hit and snuggled closer to her friend. "Jus chill, we'll be alright" she said trying to believe herself. Truth is she didn't know if they'd be okay. Assassins were serious business and Jax really didn't want to be jumping at shadows all the time. If the roof wasn't safe, how long until they get into the house?

Drae shrugged. "Whatever... if you need me, I'll be in one of the corners, curled up." he said, shifting into a dragon only about 5 feet long and he glided into a corner. True to his word, he curled up and his eyes gleamed one last time before closing.

Makani watched Drae shift and felt Jax snuggle up on her. She was out of her element she could play it cool but Jax knew the difference already. She was of two minds on this dragon epidemic. She knew what it was like to be different somewhere. She knew the outsider feeling it could create and the pain someone could have. He didn't seem to care about that though. He was using his powers left and right like he didn't care if someone saw.
The other half of her could feel the danger. She was actually afraid. She was scared for Jax, for Fi, for Garret and herself. She wasn't sure how to handle this at all.
"Jax...what should we do?"

"Well, he is very dangerous....." She trailed off unsure of how to fix this. Thinking for a moment, she relaxed into Maki.
"I know what its like to be alone too, and that's no fun but he doesn't seem to understand how serious this is. Its like he doesn't care who see's him, and he kills just......outright." she said, the sound of the necks snapping echoing in her head.
"Maybe we should just find a way to make him understand how serious this is, he just looks so....lost." It was as if two instincts were pulling at her. The whole be nice let him live here, help him one and the whole, he's not worth it he could bring death, drop him instinct.

Drae sighed in his "sleep" and turned away slightly. I'm lost? Well, maybe I am... but still... I do need to learn more so I don't end up causing a lot of trouble... he thought, his breathing deepening. Those girls are nice though, if unused to psionics and the crazyness that follows me like a parasite... Maybe I could help them as much as they can help me. He smiled slightly and chuckled, making sure it looked like he was merely dreaming.

Makani sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. She just couldn't figure out what she should do. Normally she sort of lead situations. She made the decisions around here. She was in control. Drae created this situation where nothing was. She knew he needed someone though and it was hard for her to turn her back on misfits. She'd been that person before.
Of course she hadn't been a misfit that could catch things on fire whenever she wanted.
Well maybe she was, but not exactly the same thing.
"Jax, maybe we can let him stay until he figures out how to blend in? Till he find a place of his own?"

"Yeah......thatd work." Jax said, feeling a bit less afraid now that Maki was taking care of it.
Craaaack, that sound seemed to be on an endless loop in her head like a horror show that just wouldn't quit. "Hope he doesn't crack there necks, I can still hear it in my head" she shook her head slightly, but the thought didn't stop. Shaking slightly, though not as bad as Maki was awhile before, she popped a pill of X into her mouth.
The world slowed down, and the cracking sound morphed into a familiar techno beat. She smiled at it, her brain had decided to give her a break from the insane situation. Good, brain. Good song. she thought as if praising a puppy. Some sparks came off of things, but seemed to swirl around the sleeping dragon form more, than anything else.
"He's got fireworks round him" she happily, knowing that Maki couldn't see it, but pointing childishly none the less. Take the good with the bad, besides she might wake up and learn that this was all and odd dream, or a strange hallucination. One could always hope.

Makani grinned pulling Jax into more of a hug when she pointed at Drae and said he had fireworks around him. Jax was so nice to be around. She was very calming to lean up against. Rupi had always seemed to be a ball of energy. Jax was different. If Makani was being honest she thought Jax was a good fit. An entirely different but equally as good person as Rupi. It was perfect.
She saw Jax swallow down a pill. She remembered the day they went out on their trial party run and how that drug had felt. That might be nice about now. Really nice.
"Let me have some of that too Jaxxy."

Jax grinned and handed her a blue one. All the pills seemed to be a different color but didn't seem to have different effects.
The edges of things were becoming softer, and the sparks were settling. Maki was so warm once more. It was as if they were melting into each other. Maki was like fire, and Jax like ice in that moment. Each while different, complimenting each other perfectly.
She kissed Maki slowly, being in the perfect position to do so. She laced her fingers with the snake girl and thought "Eat your heart out Wingboy"

Drae snorted and turned away, giving away the fact he was only pretending to be asleep. Vague ideas ran through his head before he really did fall asleep, though he was cursed by odd, some perverse, dreams.

Makani smiled and swallowed down the pill Jax gave her. The tingle started a few seconds later. Garret and his magic moves, bless him. He was a genius. The magic kicked in instantly while the actual chemicals took a little longer. He had outdone himself on these pills for sure. She wondered if he made acid or mushrooms like this. She like this fantasy world of his. Her own life was resembling a fantasy world at the moment though.
Then Makani felt Jax kiss her. It was like her whole body electrified. These drugs, it had been similar the night they'd taken them at the party. Her whole body felt so warm, like it was glowing. She purred into the kiss. Every thing just felt so good. Then she heard a snort behind her. She pulled away for a second looking at Jax.
"This stuff is wild, also maybe we shouldn't in front of the new guy." She chuckled and realized she was stroking Jax's hair with one hand and her arm with the other.

Jax sighed. Of course wingboy was messing with everything. She'd have been angry if not on the drug. Gods bless it. The dragon was annoying.
"Yeah, he'd probably get off on it." she said, not really wanting to move away. She forced herself to her feet, noticing that the drug didn't have the effect of making the room spin and her legs feel like rubber.
Now where to go, Maki's room or her own......gah there were tunes in here. Stupid dragon. She held a hand out for Maki, smiling. At least they had each other. "Any idea's where to go? My room? Yours?" she questioned.

Makani half tripped as she let Jax pull her up off the floor. She put an arm around Jax's shoulders with a sort of drunk looking grin.
"He probably does. I couldn't blame him though." Makani made sure she had her cigarettes and the joint. She leaned over pulling Jax some of the way down to pick them up with her. She thought about the which room question for a minute. It didn't really matter to her. Her hand rand down Jax's side and slid into the girl's pocket. She just wanted to celebrate being alive and how good she felt right now.
"Whichever is closer." She leaned close whispering into Jax's ear.

Everything was so warm. They needed this. Wingboy had serious shit after him. Who knew what would happen? Who knew how much time they had left together? Might as well enjoy the hell out of the time they had.
She stumbled into the nearest room. "Mine I guess" She fell face up on the bed, a grin on her face. The desperate need to feel close, coupled with the drugs in her body, was hard to contain. But she let Maki make the first move, hoping the she wasn't as fucked up as she looked.

Makani fell onto the bed her arms supporting her one hand planted on each side of Jax. She hadn't even pulled the door closed. She didn't give a shit what Wingboy thought about them. He was the one asking for help and they had been nice enough despite the insane drama that followed him to except him, at least for now.
She leaned down slightly and started to kiss down Jax's neck. The girl tasted lovely. She smelled lovely. An interesting sort of mix of smells. Always smelled a little bit like the garage. For anyone else that might have been a turn off. Makani thought it was dead sexy. She let her tongue slide out and run up by the other girls ear and bit on the lobe just a little.
She leaned again and kissed Jax gently at first then she pushed harder. The drug was starting to push even harder. She needed the other girl. She wanted her, she wanted to feel fantastic. It was certainly getting there.

Jax felt goosebumps appear on her skin as Maki bit her earlobe. She was faintly aware of the door being wide open and didn't care much. If he came in she'd probably laugh at him. The dragon needed to learn to let go. Stop being so tight and try stuff.
She wiggled out of her baggy pants as Maki kissed her. Her senses feeling alive and almost electric. She kissed back, her hands reaching under Maki's shirt to undo her bra. The kiss deepened as she unhooked the clasp and let her bra fall to the floor.
Maki smelled like need and tasted faintly of whiskey. The sparks danced around them seeming to grow brighter as the kiss deepened. This was heaven and she wanted it to last forever.

When Jax started to undress Makani followed suit and started to wriggle out of her own clothes while trying desperately to stay balance and kiss Jax. It wasn't the easiest task when on this drug she had to admit that. Nothing was exactly easy on the drug. Everything felt damn good though. So damn good. Once her clothes were off she let her hand run up under Jax's shirt and down her side over hip and down her leg.
Makani loved the way girls felt so soft, just by being there. Jax had slightly callous hands from being a mechanic, hell so did Maki just from driving and living in Teinar. The rest of Jax was so soft though. She moved to lay down next to Jax and pull the other girl to face her. Makani's leg slid over Jax's side and she started to kiss her harder as her hand trailed down the other girls stomach and passed her belly button.

Makani woke up wrapped up in her sheets a few hours later. Her body felt worn out and tired. It was that good kind of worn out and tired though like after a workout. She stretched and realized she was naked still. She rolled over to look to see if Jax was still in the bed with her.

Jax opened her eyes and was greeted with the sight of Maki naked in her bed. Wha? she thought trying to remember what had happened the night before. Than it hit her like lightening. ohhh yeah she thought smiling.
"Mornin, least wingboy didn't come in" she commented and than added "woulda killed him if he did. To freaky."
She didnt feel high anymore, but the crash wasnt as bad as some of the other stuff she'd taken before. Felt a tad worn out but it was beginning to be a constant state of being.

Drae opened his eyes and, while still in a slight daze, unintentionally read the girls thoughts. He shook his head and groaned silently. Just my luck... Two girls who may be bi. He stood up and shifted into his human form, but he decided to forgo a shirt this morning, so his well-muscled torso was truly displayed. He wandered for a minute before finding a kitchen. "Well... Might as well." he shrugged. He looked through the pantry and other food-storage places and gathered up enough to make some "bacon" for three people. He started cooking and soon the smell of cooking meat wafted throughout the building.

Makani stretched and climbed out of bed and gathered up some clothes putting them on. Standing up made her realize her body was way more tired than she had realized. She groaned and walked out of the room. After a minute she could smell something...amazing . She managed to resist looking and go to her room first. She removed her clothes again and then switched into a black wife beater and a pair of green and blue plaid pajama pants.
She just wanted to be comfy. Then she pulled her hair back in a ponytail as she walked out of her room towards the kitchen. She spotted Wingboy, cooking, and shirtless no less. She walked up behind him and peeked over his shoulder.
"Is that...bacon?" Makani felt herself almost drooling. She turned and grabbed her hidden stash of coffee. It was one of those things that was hard to get a hold of in Teinar. Makani had a fetish for coffee. She'd drink it black though, nothing else in it. She pulled out the coffee maker plugging it into the wall and setting it up. The kitchen seemed much bright than her room or Jax's it sort of made her head hurt. She wished she had some sunglasses.
She walked over to the bar area and sat on one of the stools putting her elbows on the counter and her chin in her hands.
"Thanks for cookin'. Maybe it is a good idea to keep you around."

Jax found a baggy shirt that went down to her knees and put it on. Why get dressed if she wasn't leaving the house yet? She sniffed the air, smelled bacon and walked downstairs cracking her knuckles.
"Bacon?" she questioned as Maki plugged the coffee maker in. She wasn't aware they had either thing and usually chugged an energy drink in the morning. Not that it was healthy to do so, but it kept her from falling asleep.
"Might keep you wingboy, bacon is yummy" she commented.

Drae chuckled. "Well, if that's an offer to stay, I'll take you up on that." he said, flipping the meat. He managed to block out the girls' thoughts and he laughed. "Watch out, girls. I may be hot, but the meat is hotter." he said, flipping the bacon onto some plates. The dragon smiled and, rather melodramatically, said, "Breakfast is served." Another chuckle escaped him as he smelled his handiwork and watched it sizzle for the last time on the plates.

Makani was watching him rather intently. He sort of had that bad boy vibe with all the trouble he caused. She still found him very unnerving though. Very unnerving. She wasn't sure she could trust him. In face she was pretty sure that she couldn't. However, with the new fake sunshine of the morning in this hole in the ground things seemed a little bit brighter.
"You can stay on the couch for a little while." She picked up a piece of bacon and pointed it at him as she spoke. Then she took a bite and she melted into happy noises.
"This. is lovely."

Jax took a plate and put a couple pieces of bacon on it. He still freaked her out, but at least they would get breakfast before random people popping into existence in front of them.
"How many of them are after you again?" she asked and took a bite of bacon. Mmm crispy she thought. Switchblades against assassins, yeah she was going to need a better way of defending herself.
The fact that they could pop up at any time was freaky too. Take her by surprise and stab her in the back or slash her or whatever they did. They killed three of em. She doubted that there master or whoever would be pleased wit that. It'd get harder if he stayed here. There would be more of them. It was only a mater of time.

Drae grabbed his plate, taking a bite out of his bacon. I really outdid myself this time... he thought before saying, "Those three were idiots. There shouldn't be any others as long as I don't show off. At least with time rifts." A chuckle escaped him. "That's the one problem I've had with the time rifts. They slow time down in one area, or sometimes stop it, and when it returns to standard time, it reacts by creating a popping noise. That's what alerted those fools." He took another bite before saying, "Oh, and if it is a matter of time as to when more show up... Well, we have time on our side, since I can control it, to a small extent." He chuckled again.

Makani narrowed her eyes at him when he laughed about the predicament. The situation they had been in had caused the death of someone. That was the end of a life no matter how jerk offish the person had been. They shouldn't be casting it off as if nothing had happened. He certainly shouldn't be laughing at it. Maybe she should have thought a little more about letting him stay here.
"You probably shouldn't laugh at it. Also," She pointed the bacon at him.
"It doesn't seem like using the thing that points other people to you as a leg up makes much sense." She took a bite out of the bacon and swallowed.
"Sounds more like a vicious cycle."

Jax swallowed her bacon and listened to Drae laugh. How dare that no good... her thoughts broke off into curses and she growled.
"Dunno who the hell you think your are to laugh when you brought war to us. Laughing as if we weren't attacked last night. " She said. He annoyed her. Pretending like everything was a game. They weren't pawns dam it!
She slammed down the plate of bacon, surprised that it didn't shatter at the force. "A cycle that you trapped us in!" she exclaimed shaking with rage. She didn't care if he could kill her just by blinking. He needed to be taught a lesson because apparently he didn't understand the seriousness of the situation.
She was barely holding herself back, wingboy better act fast or this could get ugly.

Drae was stunned. "Look... You just don't see the universe as I do. I've lived for far longer than any of you could understand. Because of this, my logic is slightly more... twisted, I suppose." he said, finishing his bacon. "Would you rather be assassinated because I'm not here? I'm sure they would have come anyway." He closed his eyes. "In fact, I know they would have come anyway. I just changed your destiny. But fine." He walked away and shifting into a larger version of his dragon form, still small enough he didn't destroy anything, but large enough that he was imposing. Good luck fighting assassins with switchblades... he said, the threat clear in his telepathic voice as he faded from reality.

Makani just leaned back her her chair as he spoke. She was thinking how full of himself he sounded. He must have forgotten over the years and through using all those powers what normal people felt like. They could die, and damn easily too. She was at a loss. She could think of a million things she wanted to say to him. That wasn't in his style though and he disappeared quickly after turning into a dragon. She couldn't really feel bad about it.
Her last little bit of patience had been abused.
She turned to Jax and gave her a look of disbelief.
"How the...he said they came because of him earlier right...and now he's saying they would have come anyway and he 'changed out destiny'?" She asked doing air quotations.
"What does that even mean I wonder?" She rolled her eyes and picked up her plate and chomped the last piece of bacon before dumping it in the sink. She shook her head at the plate.
"You know what lets not even talk about it." She walked by Jax and pulled on her shirt towards the bikes.
"Let us talk about the important things, like Motorail."
